    The key ingredient to his big lush sound...was his use of the 1st digital reverb unit...Lexicon 224. He used the concert hall preset...with a 10 second reveb decay time.

    Going through the specs, the price is very reasonable. Considering some midi control keyboards can go for a similar prices. The sounds are really good the piano, marimba and flute especially.

  • @stevewebb7126
    @stevewebb712619 күн бұрын

    Yes 12 of the sounds use the high end sweet voice function of some of the big brother Yamaha keyboards. I'm more a synth person though never went for arranger keyboards as much as I did synths. Now I'm a software synth guy.

    1 man and his dog type keyboard. I don't take these things serious. Guess they're ok if you are learning.

  • @stevewebb7126
    @stevewebb712619 күн бұрын

    Well the sounds are good enough they can match some synths I owned. The accompaniments I never use, cheesy sounding like even high end keyboards can be . As I said I bought just for piano keyboard practice. I'm not really a learner more higher intermediate level, although you never stop learning .

    Well I am playing chords with Serenity pads. HG Fortune synths are more for textures and soundscapes, not for writing melody music. But if you were doing movie type work they are ideal, and probably underrated.Thanks for your kind comment.

    @@stevewebb7126 I've installed one HG Fortune's synth just after watching one of your videos. I don't remember its name now, but it has many useful sounds for ambient music.

    HG Fortunes synths were more for sound design weren't they? Thanks for showing this.

  • @stevewebb7126
    @stevewebb7126Ай бұрын

    Yes that's true. They are texture synths really and soundscape. They are not like conventional synths basses leads pads etc, although you can get some pads out of them particularly Serenity that seems to have the most pad like sounds of his synths.
