  Such a pure, rich sound and super talented musicians across the board. Annie and a few other artists from that era had really wide vocal ranges. I feel like Annie & Karen Carpenter & the Abba gals should have done a collaboration.

  My old dad hated this song. At 14 I saw this on TOTP and fell in love, mostly with Annie but I bought the single and played it back to back constantly until dad confiscated the record player. Mum commented recently that for years he'd change radio station in the car if it came on. He's now very elderly but he and I were popping out for a Tim Hortons and what came on the radio but Annie and Northern Lights, he commented how much he f'ing hated this song, I turned it up and we both sang it at the top of our voices in the car. I still love Annie and have, I think, every recording she ever published. Beautiful lady wonderful voice.

  I was 21 years old when this came out. To this day she has the best singing voice of anyone. Her and Joni Mitchell were my favorite female rock stars😊
