@@RavenheartImaginarium very welcome sweetheart, you do such amazing work!!
Did you bake it on the canvas board?
Would have loved to watch the whole thing, but got travel sick three minutes in.
The finished creation was spectacular. I’m glad I watched until the end as it was a bit difficult in the beginning with all the movement. Did you seal the final product?
@briana Gorgeous work! Do you bake the tiles with the coloring powder already on?
Thank you! I apply the powders to the soft clay then bake. It stays well.
Wow, love the colors! Unique design~ Very nice!
That is beautiful, very well done!!!
Thank you darlin! I am ready to make the next one!

Amazing talent! Thanks for sharing.
What are you adding between the small decorated tiles!
marilyn reitman it is all made of clay I just layer it all on. I will be picking up more clay this afternoon to work on a new video. I am will get a variety of objects to demonstrate how the clay attaches.
how does the polymer stick to the tile! Also want to know how I use a canvas and the baking instructions . do i just glue small pieces on canvas. Most important is if I work directly on tile how does it secure itself to tile. Your work is so inspirational! Thank you
marilyn reitman I myself have never worked on tile so I'm not entirely sure but polymer clay is an interesting material it tends to adhere to whatever you stick it on. I have attached polymer clay to pens hard canvas or board and also to metal. It never hurts to test the material on different items to see how well it it adheres. There is a product called liquid Sculpey that I used to make sure small pieces glue as it is the smaller pieces that seem to fall off. I myself have never used a toaster oven to bake Sculpey I just use my oven but I believe you can use a toaster oven as it works the same. hopefully within the week I will be posting a video to demonstrate some of my frequently asked questions. Thank you for watching🌼🌼🌼
please how do I bake in a toaster oven! Thank you
how long can I work on this project without baking. a few days!
marilyn reitman yes I would say just cover in a bad so that the polymer doesn't become too stiff as that could prevent further pieces from attaching well.
I just wanted to pop in and ask if your going to do some more clay videos I saw you recently liked a comment I had on one of your videos a year or so ago.... I just liked your clay videos. Have an awesome day.
Ronda Garner, Good morning. yes I will be posting more clay videos but other art videos as well. I am having upload issues at the moment as everytime I upload a video to youtube it crashes my internet. As a result I have been hesitant to film the next video on clay as I am still helping my kids with their channel and trying to get their videos loaded. Hopefully I can get my Internet fixed within the month.
Briana Lucero I look forward to your all you videos , hope you tube stops crashing your stuff. Hugz n Smilz
Did you leave the clay on the tile after baking? If so, did u use a bonding agent to the tile before baking? If you did, was it for extra stability? Thanks!
Thank you for watching! I am happy to answer any questions! I actually did not need to remove the tile from the board as it secures to the board while baking. The same process can be done on hardbound books. I am not sure why the clay bonds but it is quite permanent once baked. Occasionally to get smaller pieces of clay to stick to other areas of clay I will use liquid sculpey as an adhesive but liquid sculpey can be used for so many other techniques.
This video and your previous video inspired me in a completely different direction! I have sketched out my inspiration and can't wait to start on it!!! Thanks!
The lab is adorable!! Thanks :)
Wow!
Tfs.
Just watched this video again and again inspired! Thanks, Briana!
Tony Hienz thank you! I am happy you found inspiration from this! 😀
great
Please, can you tell me exactly which canvas are you using, cotton or linen or which one? Most of them have wood frame on the back and can I bake a canvas with wood frame? I am watching this video first time and you just inspired me. I love your Art!
liz lizuli thank you for watching! I am happy you found inspiration by watching this video. The panels I used were from dickblick.com. It is a panel that has a canvas surface which helps the polymer stick. This is the link www.dickblick.com/items/13618-1066/ I was able to apply all the pieces to the panel then bake as per the instructions on the clay packet. I hope you have fun creating and thank you again for watching and also for your comment! 🌼
Briana, thanks for your answer. Thank you very much and I really love the way you make this beautiful tile.
Great video. Art Channel here check it out
i thought the end result looked great ! Thanks for sharing.
Handmade by Diana thank you for watching Diana! 🌼
Great! What kind of clay do you use? Obviously it doesn't need baking, right? Thank you. Never mind, I saw the comments below. You can bake masonite in the oven?
Maria Greene hi, thank you for watching. Actually the clay I use does require baking but it is done in the oven. The clay is Sculpey and it is available at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or your local art stores.
Are you using oil paint? If so, is it possible to do this with acrylic?
Shaylee Hall for this painting I was using acrylic. I mist my paint with distilled water while I work it helps with blending. :)
oh my goodness you are super talented!!
Tracey Marshall Thank you! I really appreciate your comment. I love working on a multitude of things! 🌼🌼
This is 'dabbling'? What? Your work is quite stunning! Well done!
Thank you Aly, I really appreciate your comment! Wishing you a beautiful day!
Thank you for sharing . Truly inspiring .
how do u know when to stop ?
well Muna, when I am working on art I always look for visual balance. I personally like for my eyes to travel through a piece and discover new things. I try to leave small areas for the eyes to rest but then move on and explore more. Knowing when you're finished can be a personal choice but there is a feeling of completion when you get to the end.
Appreciate your tutorial but would enjoy it more if you anchored your camera. All the movement in the video is hard to watch!
Your work is fantastic. Do you bake the clay with the tile block?
Thank you, yes all the clay is applied to the tile then the entire panel is baked.
+Briana Lucero Thanks👍
What color polymer clay you used and did you use the same color for all of it? When you say canvas tile do you mean de canvas board. .
Hi Ty, you can use mixed colors in this technique. The pigment powders cover the color so scrap clay works well. If you want more of the clay to show through the powder then you can be more selective and then just reduce the pigment powder. I purchased small square canvas tiles from dickblick.com. The canvas is adhered to a hard thin Masonite panel so it makes a good solid support for the work.
gorgeous work! what are you using for your base?
this is absolutely beautiful!! you just glue the pieces down?? no baking?? so very cool!! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Vanmeertan thank you for commenting. The pieces that see like they are being glued are actually being fixed in place with liquid polymer. After all the pieces are in place the work does need to be baked.
WOW!! that was fast!! Can you tell me how long you bake it?? it doesn't hurt the board you put it on?? no fires or anything!! haha Thanks for your time!!
this looks super awesome
Great talent. Love your outcome. I You make it look so easy
Absolutely gorgeous!! You have my creatve juices flowing! Gotta do this!
thank you! I appreciate the feedback! :)
beautiful
i like the video but i will say i did get quite dizzy lol
I did too. The problem is that the camera was moved from one thing to the next too fast. Even if the camera is set to film at a higher speed, the videographer should stay on an object or area longer to compensate for the speed. Just as I tried to focus on something the camera moved to something else. If you can, your videos should be a mixture of regular speed and fast speed. Fast on repetitive actions; slower if zooming in, especially if you go fro one thing to another. Most human eyes can't keep up with your camera if you move from one view to another too fast. I like your content. but I stopped watching because sometimes I couldn't tell just what I was watching, rendering the video of no value to me.
So talented. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much Bev! :)
Amazing, very nice.
Thank you for watching! I always appreciate the feedback! :)
can more accents be added to the art work after it has been baked? and can you bake it more than once if you need to. tfs
Unfortunately it is not advisable to bake more than once. Fortunately it is quite possible to apply a significant amount of clay and have it still bake correctly. The other option would be to create and bake additional accents seperately and then use a strong glue to adhere those accents after they have cooled. Thank you for watching!
is there a certain paint that you have to use for this clay? what are you using to stick the leaves and other things on?
Hi patti. This particular piece is colored clay toned with pearl and metallic powders. Mostly the clay sticks to itself but occasionally pieces need addition help to stick and with that I use the liquid sculpey. If you would like to paint your sculpey clay pieces the most effective way is to coat the clay with gesso after it has baked and dried. I have heard that acrylic paint will peel from unsealed clay. I have two larger clay pieces that I baked and applied gesso then painted with acrylic paint. Both pieces turned out great with that method.
Thank you for watching! I hope this answers a few questions! :)
