Sounds like the man who you thought was your dad, knew. And your mother lied to you and put you in a terrible position. Hang in there! Welcome to the Arab world...

You were born to a mother who decided to alienate you from your father and then alienate you from her second partner. She has kept a huge amount of information from you. Your mother probably knows enough for your to track him down very quickly but thinks she can prevent you from finding your dad. Your mother' is in denial and will remain toxic towards your father and your sister's father permanently. Its tragic and disturbing that your mother will not lift her little finger and give you the key info about your fathers.

Hi Jane, its now 5 years since you posted these videos. As you have not posted how you found your dad, I'll assume you have not. Please check your email as I sent you a checklist on how to use your DNA matches and resources to make your search more effective. I'm struck by the fact that most probably your father is a phone call from a phone call away from you. Your dad is most probably suffering extreme distress every day not having a relationship with you. I've got a 27 year old daughter whose mother is schizophrenic and malicious determined to prevent her from ever having a daughter father relationship. I suffer that distress every day. Your dad most likely went to an orthodox coptic church and purchased food at the local Egyptian grocery store and odds are there is only one such store and it probably exists with the same owners. That store and the church most probably know your dad. Get determined, raised your goals, use your gut instinct as to who and where you should call. Sleep on it, let your subconscious brain do the work and then use your instincts as to who to call. It's really important to remember your dad is intimidated by your mother and is probably praying that the phone will ring and it will be you calling him. Make it happen.

A lot of the time, they never had a chance to be a part of the life. Seeing the mother never tells the man, unless she wants money.

I'm so sorry that you learnt your mother had lied to you about your paternity and that the man you thought was your bio father was horrid to you. No innocent child should have to put up with that, but perhaps you should be relieved that he's not your bio father after all and he probably knew it (step fathers can often be abusive to children that are not their own). Know that you are a beautiful woman and you've done nothing to deserve the pain you have gone through to find out the truth.

Congratulations to you for proceeding with your family search. (I listened when you described your mother's response.) You have every right to your own story! It's your life. And, you sound like you are processing your feelings well. Well done. I know the search is worth any feelings you may have. You will be more 'whole' and in a better place. I know from experience. ❤

23andme are FRAUDS, its a cheap nasty test from an unethical corporation who have one of the smallest DNA data bases. 23andme Are FRAUD, they can scrap your test from a deceasd person because you purchased the test from the wrong place. Thse creeps have been sued many times. I've got several tests with them and NONE of them get any significant matches. 23andme Spam me all the time and I hate these SOBs. AncestryDNA are the largest data base but are also fraudulent , unethical and are increasingly charging for information that was previously free. You will hate both companies. Do NOT pay either Monthy subscriptions. Wait till you get free acces or cheap access to try it out. Get your information and do NOT RENEW. The "mother" of this woman is a realy nasty piece of works, she says her daugher has no right to look to her father who was never in her life... only because she was a nasty vindictive malicious bitch from hell.

First of all, you are a daughter of the one who created all things including you - God. Your Father in Heaven knows you and loves you and has a plan for your life. You are no accident, God knows what he is doing. My mother had mental health issues and I know it can be hard to deal with someone like that. But, your mother can’t help that her genes gave her mental health challenges, and she apparently really did the best she could under her circumstances. I have been to Egypt and nearly married an Egyptian man who spoke six languages and was wonderful. Egypt is a beautiful place with one of if not the most incredible civilizations in the world. I love all things Egyptian, and that includes you. Hugs to you and all the best to you in your wonderful journey of discovery. It’s exciting! ❤

Without abortions, these incidents will occur at much higher frequencies. More paternity fraud, leading to more DNA tests, leading to more broken hearts.

There are so many forms of birth control and a little responsibility goes a long way according to the data 97 percent of abortions were preventable if they just took precautions. Irresponsible overly horny morons tbh.

I think somehow there might be a line connecting to the prophet muhammad peace and blessings upon him..somewhere from someone….u might want to check your paternal genes and your haplogroups…and u can also check if your DNA is related or not to sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-jailani and many more sheikh that is conmected to the prophet lineage…because my grandmother from my mom’s side also have a family member that is lost at UK that is in the name of muhammad ali…it was during the building of chinese wall and when a war happen with japanese if im not mistaken, the british took him (muhammad ali) with them and now his lineage is somewhere at UK….during the war, the descendens of prophet muhammad hide their identity for some reasons…i had seen your genes that were from saudi arabia…maybe the lineage of prophet is from there….im from malaysia, and i hope u strengthen your heart for any possibilities❤❤❤

Racism within the family is racism as well. Even if you don't experience racism from strangers on an everyday basis: Has it ever occured to you that your sensitivity for the situation of marginalised minorities might stem from your own experience? There are many white-passing people of mixed heritage who do not consider themselves white. The only difference to your situation is that they haven't been lied to and that their family is safe for them.

My mother was German (not Jewish) and my father may or may not be a Sephardic Jewish Israeli whose father erased the fact that his family was from the Ottoman empire. My alleged father's paternal grandfather served in the Ottoman army, then settled and got naturalized in Bulgaria. He looks Middle Eastern (so do I somewhat; I inherited a lot of my blonde mother's colour), but he and his sister insist that this is not because their father's parents were from the Middle East but because of their ancestry dating back to ancient Israel in a straight, uninterrupted line. A story which is beloved by nazis and Jews alike, but only he and his family got to enjoy the benefits of it, wheras I, whose ancestral line is spoiled both from the German and the Jewish point of view, was everyone's "non-Aryan" and fair game (I was born in Munich 25 years after the end of WW2, and the old nazis were everywhere when I was growing up). My alleged father has been exactly as [*edited*] to me as yours was to you, but unfortunately, my DNA test does not exclude the possibility that he is my sperm donor. Congratulations to you for finding out the truth about your heritage! I wish you all the best with finding and bonding with your Egyptian family. Frankly, I wish my DNA test had yielded such a surprise for me as well. As it is, I can't even find out from my DNA test results where my paternal family is originally from.

I had a shock in 2016 at the age of 67 when i did an Ancestry test and found out my dad was not my dad. It was such a shock i vomited all over the floor. The following year i was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am convinced it was brought on by the shock. Unfortunately my mother is not around so i cant ask her any questions. I am still trying to find out who my father was, probably dead by now.

Im a little confused about her. Is she disappointed that she isn’t half Jewish or Eastern European but half Christian Egyptian instead ? She didn’t have much of a bond with this other man she thought was her father. At the same time her mother should not have kept it a secret from her. It wasn’t fair to her.

People that call themself Egyptians, with moslims roots, look like Arabic now are not the real Egyptians. The real Egyptians of the old time of the first Pharaohs were black negro people. Herodotus the the Greece, father of history said that the Egyptians he met in that time were negroes, just as all over Africa these days.

Finding out your truth doesn't really change who you are. The past is the past. Please don't waste too much time on what could have/should have been ________! Best of luck in embracing all the new things about yourself. Don't put all your future hope I your father's basket - he may disappoint. I know I am late to the story.
