  This back and forth is stupid. RDJ was just announced as Victor Von Doom. Period. Chris Evans can play both Captain America and the Human Torch, and the Multiverse is fine with that. But when Downey does it, you nerds lose your freakin' minds. Chill.

  I think that Victor being a Tony variant is too simple. I think marvel will go deeper and make it to where Tony stark has been a variant of doctor doom this whole time.

  And instead of iron man being the man in the metal armor. Victor Von doom goes to the negative zone and mutates to becoming the “metal armor within the man” A reverse Tony stark

  As always another long question haha. After the initial excitement of the RDJ casting as I've thought about it more I'm feeling more and more tepidation at this decision. With Loki and Scarlet Witch I think the pieces needed for an effective Secret Wars story was already in place. I've been a proponent of giving Loki alot of Dr. Doom's story for Secret Wars because I think his character is in the perfect position to serve the story properly. It seems like if Marvel is going to shell out this insane dump truck load of cash for RDJ any plans around those characters probably have changed significantly. Paying that amount of money for RDJ specifically indicates that this version of Doom will be in some way a variant of Tony Stark, if this isn't the case then the decision and money seems a little silly to me. I think I've settled on the idea that this will either turn out to be an amazing decision or a terrible one. Do you think RDJ's Doom will be the man of magic and science we all want or do you think this casting will end up negatively effecting the characterization of Doom as a whole in order to play to the strengths of RDJ and his MCU connections? Also do you think the MCU Secret Wars will incorporate the Rabum Allal story with the black swans? Love your videos man, you're by far the best Marvel content creator on youtube and criminally underrated.

  Dr Doom’s face is deformed which is why he wears a mask. If RDJ is playing Victor Von Doom, he may stay masked and/or have a deformed face.

  No, no, no, no, taking this away from Johnathan Majors because of one law issue (Complicated) And giving it to RDJ, a man who has had many legal issues, drug issues etc. They immediately take it away from Majors for one domestic issue, It's not right. Period. Why is RDJ just forgiven for everything he has done in life regarding the law, but Johnathan Majors career is over without a second thought....................

  I believe there is going to be a universe for the f4 and Tony stark might still be alive in that. Maybe Spiderman will join them. Then another universe for the x men with different variants. And another universe thats rated r with different variants. Either way, luckily they are bringing back big names that we want.

  After what happened with the actor playing kang, I can seen Disney needing to pick an actor to hinge these avengers movies on that they can trust. After all they need to start filming soon if they are going to be done in time, and they already have to rewrite the scripts, and all the tie-ins leading up to it.

  I actually like the what if comic thats basically what if Tony was victor's dorm mate instead of Reed. Where Dr doom basically switches bodies with Tony. Eventhough tony wins at the end. They can make it so that dr Doom kills tony in this version, and you'll have victor as tony.

  Probably be a variant of Tony Stark from another universe. Doom is too big of a character to throw this fast at us in such a short time. Doom in his universe probably contrast Tony Stark. Both are probably two sides of the same coin but their end goals are different. He’ll look like Tony Stark but he’ll show everyone in the 616 universe he’s Victor Von Doom

  I think you’re wrong. People have wanted an accurate portrayal of Doom forever. Marvel won’t screw it up by making him a Stark variant. I believe Downey is playing Victor Von Doom.

  Here’s my take… The Council of Kangs will take on the role of the Beyonders in being the cause of all of the incursions that are destroying the multiverse. Throughout Avengers: Doomsday, Doctor Doom will be trying to find a way to end the Multiversal War, and he’ll do that by stealing the Throne at the End of Time from Loki, becoming the ruler of the multiverse. After defeating the Council of Kangs, God Emperor Doom will send all surviving characters to the Void and rule over it as a god in Secret Wars. Then in Avengers: Secret Wars, the heroes in the Void will usurp Doom from his position, steal the Throne back, and reset the multiverse, rebooting the MCU in the process.

  I RDJ’s is an amazing actor but, how does this Doctor Doom variant not crap all the MCU RDJ Iron Man that started it all. I think it’s more of a cash grab than an artistic choice to have RDJ as Doom. I think marvel needs a prime variant of Doctor Doom we haven’t seen yet played by another actor. I rather see RDJ play a twisted Iron Man/ Iron Lad variant hell even an Arno Stark that almost becomes a version of doctor doom but then is ultimately replaced by an unforeseen Doctor Doom Prime played by a completely different actor respectively. I just hope that whatever Doom variant we get is tastefully handed and more serious in nature and not to comedy driven. The MCU needs a new big bad with some serious gravitas that can rival or even out do Thanos!
