2:21 There were five in the nest. She lost one already?
Isn't the nest a bit bare? Just twigs.
so cute 🥰🥰🥰
Fishing line is in mouth if one of the chicks and is wrapped around the leg of the other.
I don’t see it. Can u be more specific please?
That’s adorable

Wonderful news!
❤❤❤🎉🎉🙋♂️🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩👍👍
I remember the weekend before he left, he was stockpiling fish. It keep snowing a lot even though it was mid April, and then another major storm on 4/18/18 and I thought, he new it was coming and why he brought so many fish, and then snapping a few shots and the next day my heart was broken, so much so I could hardly function at work, I had to be home watching when he showed up again, but he didn’t. Watching Mom cry out repeatedly was heartbreaking. The male eagle that showed up for the rest of summer, I’ve always thought may have been one of their eagles. Mom proved once again how amazing and spectacular she was taking care of them successfully. As far as this eagle couple, they will always be my favorite. I still can’t talk out loud about Dad or D14 without my throat closing up and tears. Never seen any eagle as magnificent as Decorah Dad … I’ve always wondered if Dad just took off to the Mississippi, unlike the majority, I thought Dad was grumpy towards Mom the prior weekend. I have noticed mature eagles never to be seen again seem to leave during storms.
❤
Young raptors often get their talons locked on a glove due to excitement. For some reason, when they try to release, they do not coordinate the release physically with their desire to release. They just keep trying to pull their feet off. Often I have to manually release a talon for them.
You can see birds in the early morning hours with the WSR 88D NWS radars. But this isn’t it. It’s just ground clutter from the radar sides in the cold air behind a cold front. And I spent 38 years as a national weather service meteorologist.

One of the most endearing and bittersweet interaction/connection of Bald eagle pair I have ever seen. Rarely do we ever see a pair face to face like that protecting chicks from the element. This visual will remain in my minds eye forever. And then to know that this was dads last visit. And…how Mom protected, provided food and fledged ALL three is MIRACULOUS!
I think of him so often. Such a good provider, for years. He didn't want to leave the nest that day. He always seemed most content sitting and incubating/brooding the eggs and chicks. I remember he would sit for hours in the nest even before eggs were laid. Dad certainly did his job. He and his two mates provided the world with over 30 more eagles over the years. When he was lost and Mom called and called for him, it was heartbreaking. She did an amazing job of fledging their last three chicks all by herself. She endured the cold and still provided for them all. Brave girl never faltered. Thank you, Dad Decorah, for giving the world your progeny, most of whom we hope are still flying free.
This is a fantastic view! Thank you!
beautiful
Thank you for posting this. I will never forget their visit last winter! They are such beautiful raptors, and I learned so much during their time here. I would just love to see them back on the Flyway again.
I hope we get to see them again this year!
Just like my husband and I trying to work together, too funny!
The best part is the fresh viewing angle that the new camera gives.
"Um... Dearest... Honey... Sweetie... For the 55th time; if I wanted that stick there, I would've PUT that stick there. By the way your interior decorating skills are atrocious; aside from the obvious fire hazard; what are the neighbors gonna think when they see a sideways candelabra right in the middle of the living room? Why don't you go fly away over to the store and get some frozen fish for dinner and leave me alone to do this?" 😀🌟❄🔔🎁🎀🎄🎆🎄🎄
Branch managers! 😂😄
A big request from all viewers of your streams, include the current time and date in them, so it's easier for everyone to find an important event in the nest🙏
Even better have Explore include a time/date stamp right on the screen.
@@rouser301 This is exactly what I had in mind and Google translator helped me, so all claims against him❗❗🙄🙄🤩🤩
I'll see what we can do. We don't want to add it from the camera because we record the footage for use in documentaries and videos, but maybe there is something else we can do.
Thank You SO much S.O A.R I love D20. He has a big place in my heart. Thank you. God Bless you!

This is Mom and DM2 and not HD & HM? Could this cause a battle for territory between the 2 pair?
I don't think it will since Mom and DM2 appear to have settled on the Upper Iowa river.
@@RaptorResourceProject Good to know, I had the impression they'd moved closer to the hatchery. Thanks
This tree looks very familiar. Are they rebuilding the original nest across the street from the hatchery?
We rebuilt N1 in the fall of 2021 in the hope of luring Mom and DM2 back to the hatchery. That didn’t work, but we attracted a new pair of eagles!
@@RaptorResourceProject You have once again made Bob so proud. He is smiling ear to ear in heaven🙏💞
Vauuu..👍👍😀❤️

Awesome news
Awesome news, nest looks awesome
Beautiful Eagles .
🦜~ 🤟🏻love it, I approve !
🥰 Absolutely gorgeous!
Love the nest view
Good job. 👍A male Shep A / 78 visited Great Spirit Bluff (MN) 09/26/22
🦜 ~wow that's special, in my opinion.
Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, in New Mexico. You can see this every morning and evening from late September to mid October. Tens of Thousands of Cranes, Geese and Ducks can be seen migrating south for the winter. Absolutely Mesmerizing.💞
Extremely large primary projection, overall bulky appearance, I'd say this is solid for Eastern Wood-Pewee
Thank you!
That one eagle just wanted to hang out with the pelicans.
