That was pretty cool I was born in Baton Rouge Louisiana next to the Mississippi River which to show of to girls we used to climb the bridge in Baton Rouge Louisiana by going up the trusels and up a 80 foot ladder with 5 feet taking out and had to fall and catch the ladder the last 29 feet at 160 feet high and would get on the catwalk and have so much fun! One thing that was scary was if you were on the ladder and 2 semi 18 wheelers driving over the bridge all loaded down would make the ladder shake real bad but I've gone to the top and touched the red light a good 300 feet high which had quite a view we loved watching the ships go by as they were under us all ship's big cargo ships like on this video shows boats all kinds of them was an amazing feeling. 😎 ⛰️

Indeed, although quite technical for some, the aim of inserting on-video comments is to provide additional info and clarification, making it easier to understand the context. This could be particularly helpful for those who may not have a strong nautical background or are new to this field, providing an opportunity to seamlessly receive additional context directly in the video.

Very shallow river passage. We used to be full loaded refers with 0.6m GM on departure. Sometime need to drop anchor near to the entrance (if I remember correctly😊)
@SeaTube Жыл бұрын
Indeed, challenging passage, especially for vessels 300m or more in length and wide beam. This footage was made form a 9600TEU container vessel, 300m long and 48.2m wide. We were lucky to have a very good pilot, same one both ways in and out. The passage inbound was actually more challenging due to numerous narrow bends (plan to post it soon). Dropping the anchor is required for certain drafts if using old fairway (E-W in Northern part) at the mouths of the river. A new channel (NW-SW) is now available regardless the tide for vessel with larger drafts, but only for vessels sailing from DPA Container Terminal in Posorja (understood that the dredging was paid by DPA who owns the Terminal in Posorja).
