Straight Edge Knives

My name is Jasen Fleming and my role in starting this channel is to test and compare knives and tools for every day use. My goal is to help you make a informed decision in what you purchase and use. My views on knives and tools are strictly my opinion . I am by no means a expert, my opinion strictly comes from my use and observations of the knife or tool being shown.

Ya got a fake one, the market has been totally saturated with noc offs. That paint is a dead give away its a powder coat on the real deal. ALSO yours is stamped wrong on one side. It should say "Olean , NY USA" its missing the USA text . The real sheath also has a plastic that kind of has a strange sparkle or texture to it . These brown ones seem to be the most copied of the two colors. The color is off compared to the actual Kabar Becker BK18. Im sorry man, so many people are getting ripped off.

Good to see folks making & using longer blades. I have been carrying a 24" long Kindjal for a long time. They were used as foot artillery machete in the wars, no reason they wont work now.

I’d like to know your thoughts on the schrade Laroy I know it’s a hollow ground knife but there’s a love hate relationship with them. Also I’d like to see a Stroup knives collaboration with tkell knives with Tim providing the design I’d like to see Tim get into the design side with other American company’s producing the knives.

@zackaryschmidt5161 I've never handled a schrade laroy, can't really speak on that one but I'd definitely be interested in trying one out. It would be interesting to see some of these smaller makers start teaming up and putting out some cool collaboration knives. Thank you for watching. I appreciate it!

The steel choices are are appropriate, 1095 knives & 1075 sword. I wonder why 1075 instead of 5160 spring steel for the sword. I understand the larger the blade the lower youd go in the 10xx steel series for impact resistance/toughness reasons. My kukri is 5160 and is tough as a dad (a motherf'er 😂). Your products all look well made and get great reviews. The grinds on those knives look super usefull and well executed. The handle and tip/blade shape of the sword reveal the philosophy of the martial arts its born from. I hope to add these to my collection.

We appreciate your comment so much! Thank you, clearly know your stuff. So to answer your question we went with 1075 one for the cost difference. 1075 is a just a tad bit cheaper, but without sacrificing functionality and durability. We wanted make it affordable of course but great quality which we did. Also 1095 and 1075 are just more familiar to most. And they understand that our blades have the ability to drive a spark off with a stone to start a fire. Not a necessity with a blade but we do teach survival so now our students have to ability to practice that skill as well as having an adding fire starting implement along with the ferro rod. Hope that answered your question. And a big 🙏 Thank you 😊

Much easier to open the package without tearing it up from the bottom. I looked at the TK22R but ended up going with the TK20R V2. The specs are similar but the TK20R has the same button setup as the PD36R Pro you mentioned. When I need lockout I just loosen the cap 1/4 turn.
