Some excellent recommendations. A few I've forgotten about and truly appreciate the translate app as I've found many issues with Google translate. Even needed it in Pennsylvania. I expected English being in the US, went for a massage and her English was extremely limited. She even answered the phone and couldn't talk to the customer so laying face down on the table she hands me the phone and said "you". I had to talk to the customer and then relay the message to her.

I visited your KZread channel and I analyzed your channel . Your videos are so good. But I found some issues in your channel due to which your videos are not ranking well. If these issues can be resolved, hopefully the videos will rank well. I am a digital marketer and SEO expert. If you want I can solve your problems and help you rank your videos better. I am waiting for your reply. Thanks a lot.

Toulouse is in Haute Garonne department in Occitanie region, Midi Pyrénées does not exist anymore. It was reunited with Languedoc Roussillon to create Occitanie.

Thanks for all the tips! Some of those I already use, but some I was unfamiliar with. I love that weather app. Very helpful! Another good one for translating written words is Google Lens. You can put your phone over any written words, like on a sign, in a menu, on a food label, etc. and it automatically converts it to English. Brilliant!

We love Tripit, been using it for 10 years. We’ve never paid for it though, Tripit Pro you do have to pay, but we find Trip it invaluable.

... having backpacked the world for almost thirty years without returning to the UK I honed my travelling to fit the country and situation I was in. It's clear our travel styles are very different, and I didn't have many of your problems, I certainly didn't have your budget. If you did it all again with the knowledge gained, how would you do it differently ??

You chose Place Saint-Pierre for the first night which is where all the students go to have drinks, and especially after exams and on the 21st June... If you like crowds and chaos it's the best time ^^ On Place du Capitole you have great restaurants, not so much tourist traps. I personnaly like Grand Café Le Florida. And you passed Musée du Vieux Toulouse in your stroll. Greatest museum, all about the history of the city and cheap entrance. I hope you got a good impression though throughout your visit !

Great apps and suggestions. The google apps are pretty much replicable by the Apple ecosystem (if you’re an Apple fan, aka me). US ESTA - don’t go to Cuba, all I can say there. I also agree Eastenders should never be watched, lol. One thing that has tripped us up with translate apps is forgetting to download the language while on wifi. We were in Mexico and had no data (dead zone) and the translate app didn’t have Spanish downloaded and we struggled with a menu at a little dive eatery. After that, I never forget to download the language.

There's always a whole lot of things going on at Place du Capitole. That's where all the events are that the city is involved in organising. Markets, fairs, parades, sports events etc. It's not always nice because sometimes you're facing walls of policemen or a closed metro station. "Pont Neuf" means new bridge, because it was a new one at the time. Same in Paris.

I LOVE THIS FORMAT!!! Thanks for sharing your stories/tips/etc. Always booking things that are free cancellation is a huge importance to me - same thing happened with a rental vehicle (1/2 price within a couple weeks of getting there when had booked at least 6-8 mos in advance) - great job!!

One of my favourite videos. A couple of years or more ago we talked about a Rammstein concert you were aiming for (but I think you ultimately missed) and I mentioned that I had Depeche Mode lined up. On the back of this, you recommended Mesh. I now have a dozen or so of their tracks in my Spotify thanks to you. So glad you got to see them and good to see you both looking relaxed and happy.

Retired but need a "work place"? Forgive me for being confused. There are a growing trend of YT channels with people claiming to be 'retired' whilst monetizing their channel for income. I think it would be helpful to be clear if you are doing something like barista FIRE etc. i e. Live off the 4% of your house sale plus make extra here and elsewhere? You do appear to be wanting the channel to be work and provide an income. There was also discussion about doing 'consulting'.
