Lovely!
I am learning, one video at a time, with your bright and cheery personality thank you ❤
Can you include a video to discuss the printing process? I am interested in which printer you use as I assume it is a high quality printer.
Very helpful - thank you very much!
That looks like so much fun!❤ I want to try out making my own watercolours too. Have fun and enjoy your mental health day! It's important to have these days<3
Thank you!! So many videos make it so detailed and you get lost in the color.
Great warm up.
Thku Nicki this is soo helpful.
Thank you so much for this tutorial and information, Nicki! It is very helpful!
Thank you for sharing this! I would love to see another video on the 2nd half of your process; taking your painting from computer to greeting card. 😊
Purchased your new book. Sharing the cost with a friend. We are both retired!
THANK YOU
Thank you
HI The hand painted sketchbook cover was created using a process known as marbling, Marbling consists of floating ink or paint on a surface to create a pattern. The colour may be simply dropped on to create random blobs or the ink/paint may be blown or swirled using an implement to create a pattern. A sheet of treated paper is then carefully placed on the paint and the pattern transfers to the paper.
Do you have a video on how you make your sketchbooks? Thanks. Great video.
Please re release these new set as I missed out last time.

You sorted sound!
Awful sound. You have two microphones on - including the computers own microphone?
what pen is it
Thank you for the tour of your studio. I love your antique corner; the frames, plates & vases. It is inspiring. 😊
Very pretty. I know how hard it is when you do multiple mediums. I do oil, acrylic, watercolor, fused glass and resin. Need space for each one but love my space.

I believe thus 100 percent!❤
I love sketchbooks or watercolour journals! I've done "Sketching for watercolour" course and now doing "Creative freedom in sketchbook". I like this video too. I love the colour of Rose matter! I should play around in journals, that way I can improve my painting skills. I like your way of teaching which is very effective as well as enjoyable.
I’ve been painting with your courses since I bought all your courses. I love doing it every day. Thank you for sharing your skills and experience! I want to learn more.
You are 100% right.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your portraits. When I started practicing on my own it felt more authentic as I discover my own style. I'm a hands on learner so watching a tutorial and then practicing on my own is best for me. Sometimes I go back and review a tutorial and fine tune another version is another way I practice. Your teaching style has been so good for me and I often hear myself thinking "I don't love it but I'm going to go with it" and am often surprised at the outcome!
Thank you for this video. For a card, what paper do you scan to?
Awesome thank you!!!
I just shredded lots of old cards I could have used like this. Wasn't thinking creatively. Thku Nicki for the ideas.
Bookmaking yes!
Would love to see a video on how to make a book.
I'll be adding a new Creative Studio Session where I'll show how I made the book in the video as well as continue on the abstract art collage making journey. You can have a look here www.lifeidesign.com/creative-studio-sessions. I hope you can join me!
Fabulous thanks
Hi Nikki Can you tell me the best type of watercolour journal sketchbook to get and where to get it? I’m in Canada and I’ve looked around, but I’m having a hard time finding a good one at a reasonable price.Thank you 🪷
Hi Lynda, I hear you! That's why I have started to make some to be honest. So my favorite one is by Strathmore as the paper is great quality. You can sometimes find them on sale but I'd check an art supply store, Amazon, and even Indigo books carries them. They are not cheap, but you will be pleased with the quality. Etcher also make some great ones, I find they are quite expensive as well. I have been trying to source some, so if I find good quality options at a decent price, I will share with my community for sure!
THANK YOU ❤
Thank you so much for this!
I have always wanted to paint watercolor! I am so encouraged that I might actually be able to do this from your videos! Thank you!
Feel free to join a class to get started! Watercolors Made Simple is my most popular class. You can also try my new book www.watercolormadesimple.com.
So great to hear you say how much more versatile it is to have books instead of technology I just ordered it thanks so much 🥰
Thanks so much!! Enjoy
You are so right, and it goes for everything in life you want to grow in. I have started recently your Watercolor made simple course and practicing is becoming more and more fun and make me curious and eager to learn more. Practicing teaches me about me too and helps to overcome the obstacles I create for myself like in patience and perfectionism. I am so grateful and happy to have started this. I am suffering from Long-covid, fibromyalgy and ME/CFS and this is something I can do, even if for a short time and not every day but that does not matter, I am creating and that feels great 🤗🥰
Your studio is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
I appreciate your kindness and encouragement
Looks like an omniflex nib.
Hi Nikki, I just received your book today and can't wait to dive into it! Im also taking your classes, I really like your style.
Thank you so much Joyce! Enjoy and hope you paint a ton!
