I went with Victory arrows. One of the factors was they come with the spine indexed. I watched a few videos where it was shown they're markings are pretty accurate. I figured it can't hurt to be consistent with the spine on my shots.
Love the 4mm ....going on my 3rd year shooting them!
Let's go! 🏹
Awesome stuff man!
Appreciate it!
Awesome shooting this is what I want too. Nice love the colors. Awesome!!!
Thank you, the brown and black has been a hot bow this year.
Just wondering why you chose to go with a 340 spine arrow? I’m shooting a lift at 67lbs with a 27.5” draw and looking to do a similar arrow as you but the charts say 300 or 340 spine.
Mathews engineers say that with their bows, if someone is on the line, to always go with the lower spine. At 67lbs, and 27.5" draw length, I would definitely recommend starting with 340s. Hope this helps.
The leveller is also used for photography tripods. Could it also be mounted on a tripod for even more portability?
Target sight that thinks it's a hunting sight. EZV is a hunting sight. I have spott hog, black gold and hha sight sitting on a shelf. ALL of my actual hunting bows have had EZV on them. You will probably call it a gimmick.... but it's not. I've shot it for the last 5yrs.. almost 6. I've killed 15 or 16 deer with them. I've never once carried a range finder into the field and have made killing shots on animals at unknown distance. And i bet this sight probably cost 3x or more than an EZV. The EZV isn't flashy and you won't get the paycheck to endorse like with the big companies. EZV... Its the only true bowhunting sight on the market
How about a maverick 88
The angle of that cliff shot makes it seem like a far shot, but it isn't. Pretty crazy shot though and one of my favorite to date! The other was on Sitka where you are shooting just under the powerlines. Are you going back this year?
Just got back from shooting in Big Sky. It was a blast.
This material, just for 20 yards ?
Who is Cody?
You can adjust the draw weight some to get exact marks matching hits. A pound or two up or down isn’t a big deal like some believe but it may be an option .If was going to this scope I would drop my DW a little before selecting the pin
That’s definitely an option, luckily for me I didn’t have to tweak my setup to match the pin gaps. Thanks for watching.
So they copied another companys design quite the American thing to do you'd think ppl would learn from the Athens situation
Which design was copied?
Arrow total weight?
585gr
Needs five pins. Other then that nice setup
That would be tight to pack into a single vertical pin. They do have a 4 pin option however.
Great timing, I've been eyeing these scopes. Let's go! 🏹
It’s an awesome combo.
How's it holding zero after putting some rounds through it? I was told not to drill and tap Aluminum Shotgun Receivers without installing steel reinforced inserts or Helicoils first. Was told aluminum wouldn't have the tensile strength to counter the mass of the mount optic and recoil. Maybe that's for Big optics and not such a worry for lightweight RMR SRO types?
I’ve had no issues with losing zero, or screws coming loose or stripping out. I put it through its paces this year in 4 different states, and she is still holding strong.
hell yeah, rockin your papa johns hat today! yesuhhhh!
Haha
Been running the Indian creek .555 out of my m2 for the last two years and it throws a nice pattern out to 50 yards with the Boss Tim tss number 9s. Give it a try and see what you think.
I keep hearing the Indian creek with #9s is a dynamite combo.
@@BuffaloCreekOutdoorsOfficial nasty man. Shot one with it this spring and he didn’t take a step.
If you don’t like the grip you could give Chris Bees grip a try.
That’s definitely still an option.
I freaked out and had to make sure I didn’t miss the Terry Peak event 😂 evidentially this was last year.
Haha this was actually 2022.
What backpack are you using?
This was the exo mountain 5500. I am now using an exo k4 5000.
I never lose any arrows cause i suck at hunting
Let's goooo! 🏹 Great video
Thank you
9:34 ha ha all those arrows!
Those long shots at different steep elevation angles look the coolest and man you got a smooth release and fast flat shot. Good to see. Thanks.
Thank you, and thank you for watching.
What’s the stabilizer set up on the new lift? Length weight and brand if you could. It’s a good looking bow and you are shooting it real good for just having it. That’s awesome
It’s a 12” and right now only has the 2- 1 oz weight inserts that come from Mathews on it.
Whats that target made from, I need to make me one
It is made from the foam floor mats that interlock into each other. I bought my mats from Amazon and cut them in half to make the target.
Just ordered mine I’m pumped. Tired of holding my bow in my lap trying to adjust things on my bow 🤘🏼
It’s definitely worth the money.
This color combo is literally making me want to change everything… again… I just sold an ambush 29.5 for a btm land 33.
That bottom land is a sweet color as well.
@@BuffaloCreekOutdoorsOfficial I ended up with a 33 in black and tan anyways. Haha. I was at my shop picking up my bottom land build and someone had ordered this exact color combo and Mathew’s sent 2 instead of one, so I asked if I could grab it. Gonna be ordering earth matched strings and cables soon.
Heck yea!!!
Good looking setup, and good video. Looking forward to raiding your vids 👍🏻
Thank you, and thanks for watching the channel.
I have been shooting the triax for years now. I have been in the market for a new bow the past few years but was not sold in anything that was out there. I just bought a lift because this is the first bow that impressed me in a long time. It is so quiet, light, and fast. It is the new standard in my opinion. May I also add that the price point is a bargain for what you are getting. Great video!
I’m in the same boat. The lift has really impressed me.
Same situation, went from Switchback XT, to Triax, and just got the Lift 29.5
All good bows.
I don’t get the hype on the new lift. My old halon had less vibration. I guess if you just take a few ounces off and give it a new name and great marketing anything will sell
The Halon was a great bow, but to say that the only difference between it and the Lift is a couple ounces of weight, is completely false. This years bow is the biggest change in design from Mathews since the halon came out. Completely different cam system, over limb axles, and a completely different, more balanced riser design.
That's a disingenuous and patently false statement. You haven't done your homework or have an arbitrary grudge against the new kid on the block. It's a bad look either way.
JUST GREAT, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Thank you.
Same set up
I also use Grafton and they said similar the timing and paper were perfect out of the box on my Lift too. Bow took only a couple minutes to get fully setup and has been shooting perfect!
It is a shooter for sure.
You said it's drawing 27". Is that with 26 1/2" mods? I have the same bow, my first Mathews in 43 years of bowhunting, I absolutely love it! Mine is drawing 27 1/2" with 27" mods. Great video BTW
No, it is actually drawing dead on 27" with 27" mods. They are the 80% mods, but of the Mathews I have tested this year with the 85% mods, they have drawn pretty spot on.
@@BuffaloCreekOutdoorsOfficial cool, thanks. Mine may be out of spec a bit. I'll check it
I picked up a grip from a guy on etsy for $20 for my lift. Very basic, but a better feel than the engage.
That's good to know, thank you.
Nice looking rig
Thanks 👍
I have that vice system ,love it , although I mounted it on an arca rail so I can run it on one of my tripods since I am limited to bench space in my reloading/archery room , can use it in the middle of the room or take it with so i have it in the field ...
That's a good idea, thank you for the info.
When I saw muleys video, I thought the same thing lol. I didn’t want to wait months for my bow so I went solid earth. Nice looking rig.
Yea I got lucky just to get mine when I did.
Great vid. Great bows as you know. Replaced my TRX40 with a black Lift 33 for 3D and my granite V3X with a granite Lift 33 to hunt. They are such smooth shooters and I was getting 312fps with my TAC RIP XV’s at 65# ((29.25” d/l). I’ve got a Garmin and I put it on my tripod and set it so my front bar is basically aiming at it. SOOOO easy and quick to use. Looking forward to more on this bow. Well done
Thanks for watching, it sounds like you have some sweet setups.
Did you ever get your barrel cut down or inquire about it with a gunsmith?
No, I did not. I keep hoping benelli or someone else will make a 20 or 21" barrel for them.
So it doesn't work on solid limb bows?
Yes it does. I use it on my trad bow all the time, with great success.
Now that you've got some hunts in with it, how is the bino harness/ pack setup working out?
I love it. Because of the gear that I carry to film, it will be hard to go back to a vest.
Shot both bows ultimately I had to go with the Hoyt rx8
That's a sweet bow, can't go wrong by choosing the bow that fits you best.
You over spined
Yep good setup. I use jake feeding hen & lookout hen early to mid season & jake breeder hen & upright hen mid to late season……deadly setup every year
