amazing tutorials, but would be more appreciated if the keypress view was enabled, so we can see what commands you are doing. Sometimes you would use some feature from blender which if could see what shortcut was used so we can learn more and fallow better as to adapt for a better workflow too.

I'm new to Blender and have been finding the geometry nodes make it easy to make almost anything! The only hard part is knowing what node you need to create what you want, or that there even IS a node for that purpose. This tutorial had been nothing short of enlightening. Thank you🙏

Thank you, you explained it so well, geo nodes still confuses me to the nth degree but hopefully it will get clearer as I learn more. Question: how would you go about trying to make the center point like a ring, in essense offsetting the center point so everything doesnt come to a center point, so it creates a galaxy "Ring"? A question for the viewers: What would be a good starting point to learn as far a MATH goes, so I can link terminology and start to learn what I need to do to make a thing do what I envision in my head?

Followed this along, but you must have missed something, when it gets to the part of using emission, unless the ico object is almost touching the monkey object, there is no emission at all.

Hey, sehr interessantes Video.

FYI, for Blender 4.02, some of what is shown here is significantly different. The results appear same but the way you get there is a bit different than what is shown in this excellent video.

This is also, literally: an insanely good accretion disk tutorial for Samual Krugs Black hole, this with the refraction would be perfect--I'll try combining that later. Thanks for this!

I used this in combination with other dictionary style tutorials on nodes. What a massive help! Because the use of nodes is so flexible, it's interesting to see how different instructors put each node to introductory use. As a high level explanation guiding more detailed content exploration else where, this is invaluable. Thank you for making these videos. I'll stay tuned for more in the series.

Awesome stuff! But saying "You'll never use the 'Set ID' node" and just disregard it is not so nice. Here's the particle nodes by Cartesian Caramel for example, where this node is key to have consistent IDs for particles as they are being born and die: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lZeey5qnZpCzcZs.html
