@Ricqu thanks mine still going strong I use it regularly now to cut all my hinges in on doors I use it free hand with a side fence its very handy iv, not had one single issue with it Only little gripe I have is that the plunge base for the makita router doesn't sit centrally on it wich doesn't create a problem unless u use a guide Bush! And in that case it's not compatible hence why I do it free hand and not with a hinge jig but its not a big deal

Does this router keep constant speed? I want to use it in cnc on lowest speed and im wondering if it will slow down under load.
@mattschannel150211 ай бұрын
It has variable speed 1 to 6 but if you push it to hard like any small cordless router it will struggle it's great for cutting hing recesses and mouldings etc if you doing light stuff with it on on CNC then it will cope fine!

@@mattschannel1502 I have oryginal makita router in work and it have constant speed built in. When you set it to slowest speed it will still do deep cuts and keep the same rpm. Thats why im asking, because on cheap routers that speed adjustment is just adjusting power, not rpm and thats huge difference in cnc because i cant set constant cutting speed.
@mattschannel15028 ай бұрын
@@bobikbobikowy5458oh I see im not sure tbh it does what I need it to do if your someone that uses a router everyday then your probably better off with a branded one I only use it occasionally when I'm hanging doors and it's perfect for that

Interesting Matt! Saw your post on @Saltwater Angler's channel, saw you were local so thought I 'd take a peep! Have subscribed. Interesting videos about the trimmer. I'm only a hobby woodworker/metalworker but wondering if the plunge base would fit a similar corded trimmer I bought a few months ago. If you have a link to it, I would be greatful.
