For some reason, a lot of people throw away those cartridges. I just rinse mine off and put it back in.

There is a backwash function with the orange handle on top. That’ll suck water from the pool and wash through the sand in the pump. Then spit it out in the garden. I backwash about once a week

Hi and thanks for the vid. It's been 11 months so how is that pump holding out, I see at the end a little water dripping out from the hose. I am hoping to use this pump or one like it for our wood fired Hot tub after the water has cooled a bit LOL. Only issue is I will need to hang the hoses over the edge and weigh them down a little. So I just set it all up last week and it works well. Some small leakage but nothing major. I put fresh filter sand in it. Holds good pressure and all the functions are operating. Second season starting and I’m happy ! Great to hear from you Glenn !!

After I made that video I actually went back and tightened all the fittings. That stopped the water. I just published the video before I fixed it 😅

Hey, thank you so much for this video. It really really helped me today. I have a question that maybe you can answer for me. This pump plug doesn’t seem to have a timer system like my plug did with the best way pool that I bought. Now that pump was a terrible little pump and it died after one summer so that’s why I bought this one. But, because it does not have a timer on it, should I take that as it should run all the time? Should I leave it on 24/7?

I usually run my pump for a few hours a day. No timer , just an on/off switch. On days when I add chlorine I might let it run overnight

Das ist ein schönes Video von Nieuwvliet. Wir als Familie sind da jedes Jahr im Urlaub gewesen und haben die ganze Entwicklung des Dorfs miterlebt seit ca 1965. Die alte Dorfstrasse mit der Schmiede, die schöne Mole von Michelsen, Provost mit seinem Hofladen. Die legendäre Pommesbude am Strandparkplatz... Auch Ostburg , Cadzand und Sluis sahen damals ganz anders aus. Naja ganz lieben Dank für diesen Ausflug ins schöne Zeeland. Und schön in der Radarturmecke am Strand nach Haizähne Ausschau halten. Wir haben über die Jahrzehnte bestimmt über 1000 Stück gefunden. Liebe Grüße, Fam. Lenz

Thanks for this vid, really useful. I have a Bestway and about to pack away for the upcoming winter. Unfortunately I disposed of the packaging so will have to source something else to store in. And love the idea of a bigger pump as have spent a lot of time changing the paper filters. Will look into for next season. Cheers.

Ya I got everything tightened up and there are no more leaks. I had a long day making that video while doing the pool work and I never got shots of pump after it was all tightened up. There are always challenges making KZread videos lol 😆

I used a wide grip and a little help from my son. We then leaned it against the hedge. I’m not gonna say it was easy but it worked.

Nice video, I have the 3m diameter pool, similar to yours with the supplied pump. It works ok but the flowrate is rather low and I need to clean the filter daily. I'm sure the sand filter moves a lot more water and does a better job keeping the pool clean.

hi i bought this pump but for a different p. Ron ool brand. the pump came with hose that dont match the supplied intake ooutflow. hose is to big these were supplied by bestway. do youe know of an adapter. bestway customer support no help

Hey thx for the video! Do you know why pressure is quite low (although everything seems to be working). Pressure is below 0.2 psi and its hard to clean the pool as the sucking thing (vacuum cleaner) is slow and sluggish.

Plumbers tape would stop that leaking. Wrap it around 2 to 3 times around each thread before screwing the fittings in and there should be zero dripping. I did it with my other similar pump. Anyways, good video. I'm buying one of these in moments on Amazon. In my cart, but I wanted to make sure the hose size was similar to my pool before pulling the trigger.

Great footage. I was stuck on the 400 coming back from working in Toronto, which was insane. I just moved to the north end as well and I'm wondering now if the area is susceptible to tornadoes (I was originally told that tornadoes happen virtually all in the middle/south end of the city)

Also living in Germany, I want to take my wife’s e-bike and another bike with me. Or three normal bikes. I be also got two roof carriers which are easy but cannot take e-bikes and a hassle to lift the bike so high!
