After few years of experimentations and tests, I finally found a reliable way to make photo transfers with gel medium easy.
Everyone on the web's tutorials is saying that you only need some gel medium and ordinary paper, that's not correct, use of ordinary photocopy paper makes haze or white washed effect, random results, weak picture clarity and a poor color transfer.
The use of my paper is going to change your artist life, it's efficient and reliable, you are finally going to make transfers you wanted to make, on wood, on canvas, on watercolor papers and also on candles, on walls, on doors etc.

Can you please share in what program, how exactly do you make those uneven edges of the photos? Because the straight edges look kinda dull in comparison. Thanks in advance!
can I apply this on plastic surface?
You, Tom, seem to be somewhat of a “jerk”. Hopefully, you’ve grown up with time.

I can only find jet printers at my local library as I'm trying to do it for free. Does that work at all?

No
You can use mailing label papers. Print on the smooth/ gloss surface after taking off the stickers
Nice 👌🏻 Thanks for sharing Which paper did you use in this video for printing?
Can I wash the fabric with the transfer on love?
Is this any different from glossy wax paper?
Yes, this is not glossy and not wax. It doesn't slide like wax paper
@@TomPalissade where can i get this paper to buy?
Label paper - the shiny side - gives you everything you need plus, free labels! You must use a laser printer though, as Tom has done here.
@@221b-Maker-Street Very True! I’m waiting for my Laser Printer, although I got the Black and White Printer it will look nice for now. To bad I couldn’t use a color toner and be able to print color. Don’t think that’s an option!
@@221b-Maker-Street Like wax paper it is too slippery. Slides around. Can smear unless you are really careful. There is a better option.
Ma che tipo di carta è? Dove si può trovare? Grazie 🙏🏻
I use regular paper and just polycrylic
No music, please.
SHUT THE SOUND.
What kind of paper did you used?

Hello, thanks for your comment. Our paper is called Tom Palisade Transfer Paper, we are restarting a new store. When everything will be ready, we will make an announcement on our Facebook page. Please subscribe to be first informed here facebook.com/Palissade.Image
@@TomPalissade is the paper available now,?
GÉNIAL 👍 !!!!Merci très bonne explications …
Thank you so much for the tips and brilliant Ideas!!! Loved the song chords big fan of Ms. Katy Peri since yesterday ;)))
Hi good morning if you are reading this can i clarify something related to this project? Firstly can i use this method on 1.glassbottle or mirror 2.the paper name is pallisade paper? What paper is this? can i use A4 normal printed paper. You are so good... The method are simply superb
Laser inks are not opaque, the need of a colored background will help clarity of the printing. It already makes the difference between mirrors and bottles. You can use plain copy paper, the difference will be the rubbing time AND results reliability. Our product is not peeling the ink like finger work. It means making series is possible while using copy paper is not. Hope this helps
Salve che tipo di carta usa?? Non è un normale foglio
It's a special paper
I can't wait to purchase this when the store restocks!
Do you still sell this? Etsy store was empty.
Hello, Yes, we had an issue of reassortment that will be ending soon. Send us a message on our Facebook page linked in the description, we will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you
We will change e-commerce platform, Etsy is not anymore friendly to us
Very nice demonstration. Thank you.
Nice art
Hi - does this leave any kind of residue or texture on the wood? I want to place the image of my daughter on my acoustic guitar but do not want to ruin the finish.
Hi, many of our customers made image transfer on guitars. There is no residue, texture would comes from the thickness of the gel. Maybe it would be smart to use a varnish used for guitars. The technique is always the same, a glue, a varnish is applied on the surface, image on paper is glued to it and when dry the paper is removed by water. You can then protect your guitar by a similar varnish aa a final coat.
@@TomPalissade Thhank you so much for your near instantaneous reply. The guitar comes with a professional, perfect finsih (for 2000d it should), I think the point is I do not WANT to to ruin that wih any type of make-shift cover up. Thanks again. (think i may need to burn fifty bucks on a throw away and test it.)
Try on a thin plywood maybe 👍🏻
@@TomPalissade Good idea - Amazon has cheap tonewood.
Do you apply a top sealer coat?
Like for all exposed printed object, inside same gel is ok, outside a stronger varnish
Why is this transfer paper not available anymore?
Right now we are out of stock. The paper is difficult to find with the specs we demand. We found a new wholesaler and we hope the restocking will be soon
I don't use Facebook, and have no plans to, are you only using laser printed images? What brand of printer? If this is to much to answer here, please put in video description, Going to to etsy shop messenger and facebook, or Facebook messenger, is jumping through to many loops. I appreciate the time you took making and showing us the video. I guess there are other methods. Thank you for your time.
Hi, this is not easy to chat in KZread... We are using any kind of laser printer, we prefer using Brother ones because they don't call home and don't tell you like HP, that you're not using genuine cartridges. We by refills found on Amazon. Laser printer for two reasons, first inkjet printers make bubbles that don't dry fast enough, inkjet also makes pale colors, black are not black etc. Our paper allows making reliable series of prints because all the paper is removed at once. For more info, on a phone or tablet there is an Etsy app with good messaging section. We can send pictures or links for more examples.
@@TomPalissade Thank you for getting back to me, I appreciate it.
Hi! Should I reverse my image when printing?
Only if you print letters 👍🏻
yes, if you want to look identical to your image. if you don't it will print in the opposite.
