Hi there! Welcome to the Marias Pass HO Scale Layout. My name is Cam. I'm a grad student who has loved trains and model railroading my whole life, and this channel aims to share that passion with you. Previously known as the Plains Division, which focused on helper operations over Crawford Hill, the layout has been rebranded and remodeled after the western grade of Marias Pass between Whitefish, MT and Marias summit.

What are the dimensions of your layout?
This is acually helpful I tried consisting my ho scale southern pacific u28c witch my southern pacific ac6000 at SVL They never ran properly My brother said both locomotives were from different eras in time They acually had to be the same brand of locomotives my u boat was from atlas and the ac6000 was from broadway limited imports Each brand has different decoders and different speeds Some go faster than others while some go slower than others
AWESOME.
Appreciate the effort you made to make this video!
Thank you. Great idea with the foam tape.
Great video, thanks for sharing your techniques with us. Your scenery is amazing! - Steve
I thought this is real life 😂
Nice effect and very convincing - that matters more than the construction materials. Thanks for sharing!
It’s a very impressive layout
Very nice job. Great detail
Dang, I would have liked to have seen your Crawford layout! My favorite place to railfan!

Great, fantastic layout! I can't stop watching it. Keep the videos coming..really enjoy them
Your layout is amazing. You are a true artist
As always, an excellent video Cam! This process looks much simpler than how realistic the results are.
Great video with nice details. Very helpful for anyone modeling tunnels, thanks for sharing.
I already tunnel portals from Woodland Scenics, so I will simply use them as a template. I would never have thought of that before. How did you paint the interior of the tunnels ? Are they simply bare rock ? Or are they lined with brick, or cut stone, or concrete ?
thanks very inretesting
6:46 FYI A company from Spain , Green Stuff World makes Styrene letters about the size you need. For future builds. Great work Fren. Subscribed.
Very very nice!!!
This video helped me out, giving me ideas on how I can build a tunnel for a diorama I'm wanting to do.
OUTSTANDING PETER!!!
excellent modeling!!!!
I love the detail, you can hardly tell it's a model
Now I need a tunnel on my layout 🤓 Another great video as always, I hope all is well 👍
You are super good with this video, super timing. I'm doing 25 tunnel portals for my layout, gradually getting simpler and simpler as enthusiasm is being tested to the limit. Card is a very good medium, and I feel much overlooked
If you're getting tired of the tunnel portals, work on another project and go back to the tunnel portals when inspiration strikes again for them. Model railroading is supposed to be fun after all.
Great job on the tunnels!!! I especially like the Electrical fixture details!!
Hi Railfan220 & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Railfan220 & Friends Randy & Super Cool Video & Super Cool Tunnels Thanks Railfan220 & Randy
Fantastic results. I will use your techniques. Great video as always.
Great video, thanks Peter.
Great Video. I am always interested in cheap easy methods. Although I don't need any more tunnel portals I am sure I will be able to use your plaster over cardboard method for walls etc elsewhere. Thanks for posting.😀
Great video!!
Wonderful, beautiful layout, I can't stop watching your channel!! The detail, the design just blows me away.
Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words, and I'm more than happy that you're enjoying the videos. -Cam

How do you keep the motors from uncoupling?
The couplers.
@@RiverbendRailfanning you use special couplers? My Athearn Genesis would want to uncouple
@@drewharman1690 coupler height and freight car weight are the main factors
Good seeing BNSF executive locomotives again.
