    Just set my camera up and it paired fine in the house. I then took the camera outside to an area covered by a wifi extender and it struggled to connect to it even though showing 94% signal. and only being around 20 foot from extender. Sometimes the cam will not connect at all. Iphone works fine from extender. Any advice?

    The grey squirrels are native. All these squirrels were born in the UK and nowhere else. It is native but what this is saying is that some people with a very conservative view on what should not or should belong without any scientific support for their stance but an ideological one, claim that this species somehow does not belong. It does: it came here, it is thriving and it will never go. And Red Squirrels: show us any proof of Grey Squirrels somehow directly caused the extirpation of Reds. The Reds have been seen as a pest species themselves well into the last century btw until views changed. Hope this happens again. With the Pine Marten in place we will probably see a new balance. I think this already happened in Ireland.

    At the 21 second mark the beaver was listening to the cracking sounds the tree makes that’s why he bailed. They are known to do this in between chewing the stop to listen to the tree for cracking of any kind.

    These look good value for money. The colours in the day time videos, remind me of the Bushnell Aggressors we have (which are great and very reliable). A lot of cams, the audio is over amplified, this is just right. It should be a good seller for you.

    This looks great, especially that it can hook up to a solar panel. It’s much better than having to run wires from the house.

    I'm looking for a camera that can be mounted remotely and give Live Feed to my phone. The camera would have to have a data SIM for that, I assume?

  • @NatureSpyuk

    Hi @watch-Dominion-2018 - I'm not sure where you are in the world, so the choices would very much depend on that. The WiFi WildCam 2 works when within range of your home WiFi router.

    I've just acquired one of these. It looks really good, but I have a 'tech-idiotic-pensioner' question . I only want it active for night wildlife, ( I don't want it recording all the local cats in our garden during the day) how do I set it to switch off during the day? I can't work it out in the settings menu. Sleep mode maybe? Or do I have to physically switch the off button under the camera, & if so would it need to be paired again? Thank you.

  • @NatureSpyuk
    @NatureSpyuk3 ай бұрын

    Hi Lydia - by all means, get it touch with us via [email protected] so one of the team can properly help here. But - if you go into the 'functions' at the bottom, when viewing the live feed, you'll see 'Detect Time' and you can set a timer there to do what you need.

    Greetings! Are you guys involved in a Den Box project for the Pine Martens? I was just speaking with colleagues about starting a Den Box program here in New Jersey for our recently returned Fishers (Martes pennanti) which were extirpated almost 100 years ago in our state. They’ve returned and I believe we should do all we can to assist their return. We’ve found at least two populations in the Northeast part of New Jersey, and I’ve seen a few in other places. Getting the funding is another issue. Our government talks a good game of conservation, but doesn’t believe research and actually conservation is worth spending on. Now we’ll be looking into private funding, and I’ll be offering my woodworking skills and will see able getting donated wood and building materials. This is very pleasing to see. Well done… 👍🏼

    That's brilliant to hear fishers are returning to your area! Den boxes are an important part of pine marten recovery in the UK, providing a greater diversity of denning cavities across our woodlands. They also double up as a great way for us to monitor the species too.

    Great quality! And the sound is great too. Would you rather recommend the Patriot or the Dark ops pro X 1080? I'm currently looking for a fast camera that also triggers quickly. I'm after wolves that I want to film. I already have the HP5. It's good, but I need another one.

    I recently purchased the wildcam 2 including the solar panel. Love the quality of video. Excited to capture the hedgehogs bottom of my garden 😊. Question.. for some reason im only able to view live feed.when i receive motion detector alert. However night time when something set of the alert..i go back to view next day & hasnt actually captured a video of that moment. I checked the sd card is in, as id assumed that maybe the issue. Wondered if you can advise, on how i can view footage that was captured late at night. The calender seems to be greyed out on previous days. Plus on playback just picks up live when i go out & check on it .reposition it ect. Otherwise im loving it. 😀🫶
