Howard Stern mainstreamized vulgarity. And now everything is vulgar. He was a bad influence.

Carl Lewis was a phenom as a track and field athlete and had a similar legacy to Jesse Owens. This was funny, though. But still, Lewis is an Olympic legend.

I love how everything is calm before the snippets of Carl Lewis singing the national anthem, but after we see the snippets of Lewis, we return to the studio where we see that Charlie Steiner and Jack Edwards, who were hosting that edition of SportsCenter, have completely lost it. It must have been the first time that both of them had seen Lewis’ singing, as you can genuinely tell that they’re really cracking up about it.

What a RANT. Chris was screaming one time and that he'd quit and leave. It happened. Just not his timeline. They split and San Fran won. Years later during one of the reunions he discussed that very topic. He never had the opportunity to gloat, flaunt, and rub Mike's nose in the World Series win while on the air at WFAN. i do miss them.

I think Carl Lewis is one of the greatest athletes in history, but he made such of an ass of himself so many times. It's his own freaken fault.

This is exactly how I feel as a Niner fan watching The Niners in big games the last 13 years. Kyle Williams in 11. Kap stopped near the goal line in the Super Bowl against the Ravens in 12, tipped interception in the endzone in 13, blowing a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter in SB after 19 season, dropped interception that would have won the game in 21 in NFC title game against the Rams, QB knocked out of the first drive of the 22 NFC Title Game, then this year.....a fucking punt that just so happens to hit a Niner player's foot when it landed, causes a muffed punt return and the game....along with a blocked extra point. How bad can a team's luck be?

these shows were not well done but tv programing was so boring in that period that this seemed interesting. howard was smart in that regard. he realized somebody had to break the ice. this is where all the nonsense started.
