    this is awesome to see for those of us stuck riding 12m + kites. It's so easy to see guys on youtube pull stuff on 7m kites, but this is incredibly helpful if you don't live somewhere that can take such a small kite! Would love to see more.

  • @bekanav

    You didn't even check if they kept their length😂 It is very trivial note that thicker lines are stiffer because they have higher breaking strength. That wasn't a test, only a showdown of your skills.... But anyway I liked it, you ride so well

    Thank you, Ben, for this helpful video. Good to see, that even for an experienced kiteboarder, kite-loops aren't necessarily a given thing on big kites. Also, I find it very interesting, to hear you mention that only a couple of years ago this kund of loop seemed very unlikely to even think of with a kite of that size. I wasn't aware, that kite agility has evolved so much in only a few years of time. Always appreciate your quality and joyful videos, thank you!

    I rode this thing back in the day and for that time it was an awesome freestyle kite! Maybe if you fly it on your current 5line bar and do some freestyle on it, it will work a bit better. This thing originates from 05/06 and back then people where not boosting, but only doing freestyle (since that was the only discipline for competition riding PKRA).

    Ben thanks for putting effort creating this video but you should really compare the smith lines on the same bar as new Sensor bar is different. I do second to that with core bar there is no point to exchange lines, I ride Duotone and on every new bar I start from changing lines to SK99 550kg as I snapped on a new Click Bar front line and it ripped off my almost new kite steering ear and Duotone only repair it without exchange. I wish dt took safety seriously and released new bar with proper lines.

I dont know if branded wooden boards ( for a similar price) are better just because of a brand. What do you think is it better to buy normal branded wooden board or these carbon board which is inspired by Duotone jamie. Hope to receive a reply... thanks

    Hi Ben, I was hoping you might be of some help, I am looking to buy a new Nexus 4 (I have a Nexus 3 in a 9m). Do you think that the next size up should be a 12m or could a 13,5m work? I am just scared that the gap between a 9 and 13.5 might be too big. I can afford no more than a 2 kite quiver. Second question how would you compare the pull per size of a nexus vs XR. Thanks heaps

  • @BenBeholzVlogs

    Hey, if you‘re over 85kg I would choose 9 + 13,5 if you‘re less than 85kg you can go for 9 + 12 The Nexus is more direkt on the bar. In general you can change the bar pressure on the wingtips…

    The Core Tectanium lines are very stiff and still one of the best lines, but there are poorly coated and the surface gets quite rough after some use, small hairs. If Liros could work on their coating would be killer. Still Tectanium they keep their length over time and are strong. But not last as long as the Braidtech DHPS 425 lines, they are ultimate for long livety and easy of unwinding etc. I have been recently using a blok of skiwax for hot temperatures and impreganated the Core center lines to the rings, as this is where during the loops the lines sags. It seems not to attract/stick sand, the long run will tell how it holds up. For lines personally I always recommend and prefer color coded, left line, red color, right line blue color, center lines both black.

  • @cyberanswer
    @cyberanswer14 күн бұрын

    "impreganated the Core center lines to the rings, as this is where during the loops the lines sags." - I don't know Core bars. Do you mean from the bar to the where the bar would hit if you were to release the safety? Is that called the flag out point? That would be around 6m is it not? Or did you just cover where your lines wrap, which is around 2m from the depower throw? The only problem with wax is I don't want it accidentally getting on my kite.
