  I dont understand…what was the white stuff you put all over the page before coloring it? Was that Gesso or white gouache or ? And why did you do that to a coloring book? Would appreciate some clarification. It turned out beautiful.

  @@juststartingover2735 I used white gouache so that I could lighten the line work. Kinkade paintings don’t have a lot of dark line work so I was lightening the lines so it felt more painterly.

  Is there a way you can match up the hex number with prismas or polychromos? I thought maybe there was a tool online somewhere you can put in the hex for a color and it will tell you which pencil to choose, etc.😊

  I have an app on my phone called Arty that has those features when I'm stuck with color matching. If you search "Colored Pencil Picker" in the app store you may get several that do the same.

  I think if you want to keep the hidden creature nature of the coloring page, one color could work. However if you want to color in the page to make the hidden creatures pop, you can use multiple.

  I've read the comic for the first time today. I think it's kinda good, or at least decent. My only complaint is that it's undercooked. The characters are interesting (for the little they are presented), the dialogues are adequately written for the most part and there is some themes to be found in it, but it's all too short to be explored as it should, and the "unreveal" is frustrating. I'm ok with the fact that there isn't an exact explanation or a vague one as to why all of that is happening (sometimes it can be neat to leave some things to the imagination), but TOO many hints are dropped without payoffs (the Algerian guy bleeding from his nose for who knows what reason, the guy with the binoculars on the bushes that only the kid sees, the hotelier's son shot by an unknown assailant) and even the slightest explanation, to the point that it seems only part 1 from what it was supposed to be a longer story.

  Western prudish sentiments. The irony. "Power dynamics" is such a simpleton cliché critique. So overused. No single relationship has equal power. It's a silly standard. The greatness of these relationships is precisely the transparency. Despite the "power" the stronger more capable figures are never abusive. Grooming is bad because of abuse. Not because of the age discrepancy per say. This is fantasy. We can divorce reality from what can be.
