    Thank you. That Gen 7 is the first crawler I ever bought. It has evolved over the last 5 years into what it is today. It has won the last three competitions that I entered it in at CrasnN Bash Hobbies in Cedar Rapids. I would like to travel with it and see how it stacks up against other comp trucks around the country.

    Very cool video, very well put together and very informative. I'm definitely a beginner, I only started the scene a few weeks ago, I've never actually owned 'axial SCX24' as such, I made my rig from aftermarket parts..... injora 50t pro brushed motor, servo, servo horn, esc, skid plate, stainless high clearance links, king trekker tyres, I used the meus isokinetic axle's and the meus 'ultra 4' style hard body bronco, I used some red spider wheels that I liked the look of and the proline big bore oil filled shocks. I'm wondering if I made a mistake by not actually owning the axial SCX24 to begin with as I don't know if mine is an improved version or not 😳 what are your thoughts on this? Cheers👍

    @@EXPIOWA thank you for the reply and the extra advice 😎👍yeah I'm totally in agreement with you, there's lots of fun to be had in the development process side of things. My sons 5th birthday is coming up. He's absolutely besotted with the rig I've built, so my plan is to get him the standard blue hard body bronco and all of the parts to take it to the next level, this way we can build it together, I guess then we'll get to see the true transformation from stock to modified 🤞😎 do you have any recommendations on parts for him or does what I have on mine sound like a decent formula to you? Cheers👍

    Nice tires man, they look pretty decent even for injora made. If it were me I would of paired em with some brass wheels to help keep em planted and prevent that torque twist. Its unreal what a bit of weight on the lowest widest place and do for the rig. Just did a vid on the C10 with new brass and its night and day when it comes to traction and staying planted. Got an older vid with just the alumium wheels if you want to compare :)

  • @EXPIOWA
    @EXPIOWA2 ай бұрын

    The front wheels have brass ring centers. It is a pretty pinned down rig. 😀 It won the only comp I ever entered it in easily. When I do competitions I generally only do 1/10. I don’t think it’s fair for me to enter 1/24 to everyone else. Most people haven’t come close to the testing and development that I have done.

  • @DurpVonFronz
    @DurpVonFronz2 ай бұрын

    @@EXPIOWA Heck yea man, U seem to win since I stated watching your channel. The brass rings help but really only minimal compared to a whole brass wheel. Some of my wheels with rubber are coming in at 280-345grams depending on the size of tire its with. Glads are 345grams the Kanga Ax24 are around 295 and the C10s are the same ish as the JLU around 280 per set. Nothing like heavy to keep that torque twist at bay and tires planted :) Also, that Kanga Ax24 can hit some angles Ive never seen other rigs get to in this size :)

    That rectangle on the bedrack is a solar camp shower, you fill it with water and the black color absorbs the sunlight and gets the water warm, the tank's high mount on the rack uses gravity to flow the water out a hose and through a sprayer head, the hardshell tank style solar showers also typically have a shrader valve fitting on top so you can pressurize the system with a standard air compressor and have decent water flow instead of just a trickle.

  • @EXPIOWA
    @EXPIOWA3 ай бұрын

    That is awesome. I honestly had no clue. It makes sense now. 😀👍 I have moved it inside of the rack to the right side and am using it to store all of the scale points items in case I ever decided to enter it into a comp. I already have a Class 2 rig that I constantly win with but you never know. : ) I can see myself doing it if the terrain was right. Its a bit long for the really rugged terrain with tight turns. For angles and steep climbs it should do great.

It is still perfectly drivable. 😎 I wish I could have brought my 1:10 Capra to Arizona but it wouldn't fit in my luggage. This is exactly what I bought it for. It was pretty great. : )
