Billions and Billions of dollars await whoever puts Terry Pratchett's work into the world with this much understanding and reverence.

The actor playing the old warrior sounds like the Deity that controlled Barnabas the dog in Skyrim. Am I nuts?

Omg😮 This is by far the best movie and soundtrack I've seen In years from an independent company. Please, someone grant them a budget to make the blockbuster they so richly deserve.

Some people like living in the past. It’s not exactly wrong per say, it happens with every generation. There’s always people who will enjoy what they had back then far more than they’ll ever enjoy what they’ll get in the future. It’ll happen with us when we’re old and our children when they’re even older. Micah should be allowed to sit on his bridge and reminisce about the days of his youth, when he and his family were “proper trolls under bridges”. But he’ll have to accept when those close to him who want to change with the times want to move on ahead. If his son wants to follow in his uncle!s footsteps he’ll have to let him and be proud of what he does. But Micah can have his bridge. Even if it keeps falling apart, let him keep his bridge and his memories. Forcing him to let go is like taking a toy away from a child. Let the reminiscers remember fondly, and let the envisioners dream grandly. Everyone at one point in their life will be one or the other.

If this was made by the same people who made that pile of crap "the watch", i hope they never get funding.

Where are all these hotshot directors and producers? Pratchett’s stories are an untapped opportunity and should be on the big screen. Oh, I know they’ll mess them up as they always do but it’s very disheartening that no one’s trying. At least do a Prime mini-series. If The Abyss can be made then Pratchett’s works can be too!

Beautifully done, lovely cinematography, really good production values (the trolls were great) and the acting was all good, yet somehow misses the mark for me .. it's a little hard to put a finger on, but (for me) the humour and pathos I get from the books just wasn't really there somehow, it just somehow doesn't have the soul [shrugs] .. sorry.

This is one of those stories that I've only read once or twice, because it is so perfectly contructed that each word carves an indelible place in my brain and lives (toll-free) in my soul. I wouldnt say i've memorised it, but as i re-read it or watch this rendition of it, i already know exactly what will be said as soon as a given sentence starts. Kind of a "I can finish this sentence in 3 notes" sort of effect. 😊
