Finally somebody put up the full open of WOR's 4.30 Movie!!! (Also an Edd Kalehoff piece!)
@NEPatriotАй бұрын
Never thought I would see that one again. And Edd Kalehoff did some promo music for channel 9 back in the day. Now we have both 4.30 Movie opens for NYC on KZread. But I must say channel 7's open was far more memorable. Nine was picking up the scraps after channel 7 abandoned its 4.30 Movie program.

It was so fun back in the day with analog television because we used to take little TVs like this to the river bank while we were fishing and watch football and baseball lol back when you could enjoy sports for free without paying any arm and a leg for it 🙄

I grew up in Deer Park in the '60s when this place was still operational. You could see it from my living room window. At certain times (I think it was the electrical equipment they used) our TV reception would get all distorted. I was there the day it was imploded. I remember joy riding thru there in the early '70s at Pilgrim State and coming across an escaped patient on the old road to this Edgeware facility.

The year I was born it was demolished . I live right across from the preserve it now is off of commack rd. Pilgrim was still up when I was a teen we went into those before they were blown up to . The under ground tunnels were crazy . The graves still sit behind the water tower in pilgrim. They are lil rectangle stones with numbers . The nurses & doctors house was on crooked hill rd was so cool to. Dont go here now most buildings are gone & ms13 hangs in the tunnels.
