I was given a copy for review purposes. I will have another video review of some of the other sets out soon. Each set has great variety and each are fun. I don’t know that one set stands above others for me at this point. You can mix any of the packs together. I think it’s suggested if playing with multiple decks to just shuffle all the cards from the decks together and not to pick and choose specific cards. Just more variety. 👍🏻

You said you like hockey. One hockey game I played was Slapshot. Basically it was a drafting autobattler (sort of a forerunner to Champions). It might be out there relatively cheap. For solo games, I can't go wrong with Mage Knight and Spirit Island.

Definitely the biggest drawback to the game for sure. Yeah, I think even $50-$60 would make more sense. It’s a very high price tag right now for sure. Hopefully it can come down.

Great question! I think so. It is also hard because not all 7 year olds are the same yeah? If she already regularly plays games she should be good with this one. I say get a traditional Asian set and learn from videos and different pictures, I use cheat sheets I printed for a few bucks while the reference sheets the American mahjong provides is pricy for nothing

thanks for covering this. I like the game but I don’t really feel like I’m getting any better at it. It hasn’t had any of the big moments I’ve had from Magic or KeyForge so far. I do regret not buying more than the basic set of Mind Bug. I also wish the Mind Bugs did different things (not just take over the card), and we could choose which Mind Bugs we bring to the table. I guess that’s the point of the game, but I find myself missing KeyForge, and missing Magic. But also, I miss a lot of things that happened when I was younger. And more virile.

It definitely doesn’t provide what KeyForge and MTG can provide with their added complexity. But it does provide a fun game with interesting choices. This may be too simple for some though. There is a lot more luck involved as well it feels.

I tried to watch your review but I had to stop it. You might want to consider practicing to eliminate the verbal crutch that are those six dozen or so *uhhs* and *ums* you dropped throughout the video. It won't be easy but few things of value ever are.

You _really_ needed to script this better. I'd recommend separating the cards by keepers/creepers, goals, new rules, and actions, then separate the new rules and actions by "standard across multiple version of Fluxx" and "Unique to this version". Then like go over what kinds of special abilities the Keepers/Creepers have where applicable or like which actions and rules can only be used by players with certain Keepers/Creepers, etc.

You got great energy and a fun demeanor. I just got into BANG! the dice game and so I was curious about its expansions. It's fun and short and sweet. i'm used to long (2-4) hour gaming sessions but I wanted some stuff that was light and quick and easy. Something with multiple players and that i could break out at a party that I don't go to.

Yes, I oiled all of my stones once upon arrival. Then the oil from your hands during use should help keep them their best. 🤓
