    I'm chuffed that my comment helped spark this and the sister video to this! Always love getting a look at decks that people find to be chatty and easy for them to read and this was no exception. I really think my Morgan Greer is my most easy to read deck ever, or probably on the same level for me at Tarot of the Magical Forest.

    What a fun tag. I'm curious to hear how the wildwood goes over time, I remember you talking about it in the decks you don't have yet video and thinking you likely wouldn't get it. So colour me intrigued lol. That pockets guidebook is beyond tiny. I'm glad you can at least read the font still. I can imagine that's a problem for many. I'm also trying to live through your love of the witch sister currently, and have my tarot of the hidden realm out to scratch the itch haha.

    Oh no, I was at here thinking the deleted world tarot doesn’t sound like my kind of artwork but decided to foolishly look it up anyway and oh my god what a deck, what an absolutely stunning deck. Also Jupiter Power is snaking its way up my priority list every time you show it, especially now I’ve seen it in person. Hehe I’m glad the Wildwood made you happy, I can’t wait to hear what you think!

    I'm mad about the weather still LOL - you? Also, loving the selection. So much glorious summer, which course I expected and was fully delighted. I may not use so much myself but I love to see it. Nearly all the folks I know who trimmed their Del Fuego wished they hadn't - so perhaps you can see someone else's copy first to compare? Hope the move treated you well and you're feeling settled now =)

    Ugh I LOVE these videos so much! I’ve been using my Ritual Tarot for cancer season and always reach for Outgrow Yourself for Scorpio based readings, so like the inverse of your picks but still the same wavelength. Forever a viciously powerful high priestess! Also I love the watercolour distinction, I absolutely see it and fully agree.

  • @TarotMagpie
    @TarotMagpie2 күн бұрын

    Outgrow Yourself definitely has Scorpio energy too! It does not feel like a more traditional cancer deck to me, but it's too accurate to my mars/moon conjunction. Which is maybe why I like the deck so much, it is forever calling me out but it's also what I would say to myself so I really can't argue

    Wow the Tarot of the Dream Enchantress looks so gorgeous!? I definitely haven't seen in by anyone on KZread (though I really watch only few channels). The Empress is really weird, not that I would think she would be wrongly placed (it doesn't feel much as inside to me to be honest, more like sitting on the main staircase by the main entrance lol), but she feels kinda... random. But the deck looks great indeed. Bit more like sci-fi, alien worlds and creatures and steampunk than fantasy to me. (though it's hard to draw a clear line between sci-fi and fantasy)

  • @TarotMagpie
    @TarotMagpie2 күн бұрын

    It's a total hidden gem of a deck in my opinion! I totally get what you mean about the Empress, but it was just so jarring the first time I saw her! I didn't realise I was attached to the outdoors, mother-archetype until I got this deck. It's funny how it happens like that!

    I 100% agree with you that sometimes a straight RWS can be more difficult to read because I am searching for all the layers. This is the exact reason I gravitate towards TdM and pips decks when I need those straight readers with CBD TdM with its clean lines being my favorite. I can step back and separate myself from the "traditional symbols" and just look at the basics: directionality, elemental makeup, etc. Fifth Spirit is the perfect blend of something that is illustrative but not too layered that I get in my own head about it. Reading can be such an onslaught of messages sometimes that it's great to identify the ones that are to-the-point. (Though I very much enjoy the "onslaught" sort of decks.) ❤

    I'm kicking myself for not buying a Morgan Greer years ago! I think I was finally able to see beyond the aggressive 70s-ness of it, to its perfect RWS shorthand. It's my go-to "I need a quick answer" deck these days. I had a moment with the Colour Outside the Lines but it's cooled down, perhaps because the Morgan Greer came into my life. The Deviant Moon IS a feelings deck for me too. I hated it when it first came out but one day I saw cards from the borderless edition and I immediately Had To Have It. The images just push buttons before you've even had a chance to register which card you're looking at.

    There are hundreds of oracle that are neutral, not love and light, Poesis Oracle, Maiden Oracle., COSMOS, Marsielle Oracle, Citadel or there are some tarot/oracle hybrids like Archetype. Alchemy, Nameless Ones, Sacred Creators, Aura Soma Oracle, Bottanical Deck or other systems Lenormand, Kipper, Runic, Numerology, Solomonic Seals etc you may enjoy. Secondly don't keep the card you don't gel with in the deck, stick them is envelope in the bottom of the box, out of mind out of sight its you deck make it your own. Its sound like you need a oracle that is very structured based. You mention appropriation, there is difference between appropriation and appreciation, if your not even read the book interpretation, and are taking the card at face value this is personal choice, and as i said take them out of the deck if they dont gel with you. Its sound like you need a oracle that is very structured based so when you buy a deck ask yourself why it interests you and how you want to study it and its doesn't not necessarily align the author intended is for.
