3:30 what’s that tool? what was that you did there? that part is not clear
Why not put the protective sticker on the bracket?
Would this fit my Silverado?
Thank you so much for this video. Super helpful and well-presented. Your time and effort is most appreciated!
Thank you!
Your company provides very helpful videos! My custom order Transit should be arriving in August. Question for you is if these work with swivel seats?
Why is Tucker Carlson installing a slick lock?
Was looking for something like this. Thank you for the video.
No problem!
CAN you please do measurements for Ford transit high roof 148" regular interior lengths and widths? i,e width from edge of the door steps to the otherside, between wheel bumps, wheel bumps to the rear door, height of the wheel bump etc, will be much appreciated thank you
We'll have that video eventually, but in the meantime, we have those measurements here: upfitsupply.com/measurements/ford-transit-148-wb-interior-cargo-measurements/
Very informative - thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
they have one big thing in common.. They Gone.
Hopefully they'll come back some day!
What size bolts are used to fit to roof please?
1/4"-20 will fit.
How hard is this material to cut/trim? I'm looking to install one but would like to cut out a few areas where my E-tracks and L-tracks would poke through / need to be accessible? Thanks.
I don't think it would be too difficult to cut with a sharp razor blade, though I haven't personally cut one before.
I will come and check
I'm interested the one with the roof rack can i get the price
Right here! upfitsupply.com/product/vantech-h21-roof-rack-ford-transit-connect/
Do you offer a military discount?
We do! Reach out to our customer service team on our site chat. upfitsupply.com
Hello there Mister, by any chance can you do a video installation of a 1000 pound lift fer a power wheelchair lift ?
I’m glad I came across this video, but unfortunately I need the wagon version of these with the second row seating due to me being a rideshare driver. Hopefully I can find a comparison video of those models
Do you know what the side and rear door opening size is?
Yes! Take a look at this video where we measure those openings: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lYmcy8iHZ9SzcbQ.html Or you can get our full measurements guide here: upfitsupply.com/measurements/ram-promaster-159-wb-interior-cargo-measurements/
Under the do not stack sticker was a QR code for installation.
Good catch! That is the first time I noticed that on the Knapheide box.
You know the transite offers double door in the back right
Damn should have got one to live in
Does this work with a Ford Transit Connect LWB? Where does it go?
Yes, there is one for the Transit Connect: upfitsupply.com/product/vantech-h21-side-access-ladder-ford-transit-connect/ It attaches to the roof rack on top and to the pinch weld on the bottom. Similar to this installation: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nayC25qAorHOgtY.html
Good video, this is more soundproofing than insulation which i would still do. I'd put some 3M insulation over it and cover the sheetmetal.
Awesome job showing how easy this is to install! (Not to mention how great it looks!)
It's a great partition!
Thanks for the review, and for going so in depth on everything our truck boxes have to offer!
Totally worth it!
Thanks for the feature!
Great information! We're going to add a #4: Storage. Because nothing is worse than a cluttered, unorganized work van.
100% agreed!
Nice
@upfitsupply can you get them in black or only white?
Only in white unfortunately, but we have seen customers paint or vinyl wrap them.
i like how you are kneeling in that thing and you cannot 'sit' straight up....
i dont have a work van but this is very entertaining
Have you installed a TC wagon style with the headliner & airbags? I really like this simplicity for recreational use vs the various other options.
Yes I have. Roof mount locations #2 and #5 seem to be the easiest to access. You do need to pull away the headliner a little bit to get access.
Nice but where can you buy these i would love to have one for my cargo van ? I see on there website.
Right here: upfitsupply.com/product/link-lsr90-swivel-cargo-van-ramp/
Are you able to install that or similar on the B pillar on the passenger side? I have a conversion van without a bar. GM puts them in the seat and the van has an aftermarket seat.
For sure! But this may be a better option for your situation: upfitsupply.com/product/van-grab-handle-small-9894-7-01/
Can I leave in my factory insulated vinyl floor mat and just put the Legend flooring on top of that? I have a 2019 dual sliding door HR 148: WB ext long Transit.
This video is for a Transit Connect, not a full size Transit. While it is possible to install flooring over the factory floor, most do not. You could run into issues with multi-piece floors (like the 148 EXT Transit) buckling as well as conflicts with partitions and attaching equipment to the floor.
Time to go back and edit the video so people don't start needlessly taking apart the trim pieces. Or am I missing something?
You need to remove the trim to remove the factory floor.
@@upfitsupply Ah, got it. Thanks.
Would be nice to know what R factor this is providing ?
comfort? LOL :)
R4 for the 1-inch kit.
@@upfitsupply So this is insulation...How does it do for sound of the cargo van rattle down the road? looking for an all in one concept.
Just what I was looking for, appreciate what/how you explained and nice to see you are close by (GR over here) as a neighbor resource. Related to mechanical with these at 7-8 yrs old, do you feel the same that these two are very similair (quality, maintenance cost,...)? I did have a '21 Promaster City to use for business trade shows/demo van and sold it after 12 months / 16K miles (wasn't using as expected). I drove it across the country, through a significant South Dakota blizzard (with Blizzacks it tracked!) and found it to be very comfortable, ala daily driver quality, and a great fit for my frame of 6'4". Now, shopping for a mid to upper-ish $$teens option for personal use & utility.
Howdy neighbor! I think these two are similar from a maintenance standpoint. If you found a good deal on either, I'd go for it. Personally, I prefer the Ford from an engine and chassis perspective, but my view is tainted from bad luck with Chrysler/Stellantis products in the past. When I sold the Transit Connect, it had 214,000 miles on it and still going strong.
do you have the shelf no wider the back wheels cover ?
Yes, you can see it here: upfitsupply.com/install-videos/installing-holman-workbench-in-our-ram-promaster/
Wouldn’t you rustoleum those holes and also seal? Seems like it would rust otherwise.
Not a bad idea! We just followed the directions from the manufacturer, but wouldn't hurt to paint.
Very good review
Thanks you!
@@upfitsupply do think that it will be Dodge.
Could this handle a solar panel array so as to tilt it towards the sun for maximum input?
I suppose you could do something like this. You could leave the ladder hooks off and fashion a bracket to attach in those locations?
where can i get the bar to move the rack up and down
We can help get you the replacement part. Give us a call, text, chat or email: upfitsupply.com/contact/
Does this material smell like rubber?
No it does not. I would describe the floor as a foam base with a top layer of plastic. No smell at all.
What kind of insulation on the walls are using on the build?
It is the AutoPly insulation kit: upfitsupply.com/product/ram-promaster-van-insulation-kit/
looks great --- should have spray painted the wheel well inners before the floor install
Great point!
I was tasked with outfitting service vans. Thank you, the video was very helpful.
Thank you!
Thanks for the video 🙏🏼
You bet! Thank you for the comment!
My grandson put the Red disc on for me but the Pencil broke and hurt his hand. Use a screwdriver instead of a pencil to be safe.
I installed mine but the sensor detect the door open, but is closed, the slinding door
Sometimes if the bracket isn't snug against the vehicle it can cause this issue. Make sure the bracket is pushed as close to the vehicle as possible before tightening. Also make sure the door latch fully engages.
