Think about it, you have a better chance of winning a coin toss, in fact that's the safest thing to gamble on, than gambling at anything else. And people gamble anyway, it's kinda of suicidal behavior, or rather self-harming that can become suicidal, yet people do it. Some people want to feel how it's like to win, even if it costs their entire life.

I won $44 from the first machine. Lost at the next machine, video poker, and roulette. Got some back from blackjack before leaving.

This guy goes to the casino and thinks he can win. He advocates "if you win, the out". If he "wins" hes gets out, but he goes back again on another day. There's zero difference between staying straight after you win and simply waiting a day, a week a month. You cannot beat the casino odds in the long term. The only possible way is to win and NEVER return.
