  Where you went wrong is only having one glass bottle. Didn't you get sand? Make more or barter with piglins with all the gold in the caves. They trade glass bottles. Going back to a previous save point isn't cheating to me but I wonder why you needed villagers. In the Nether, you could trade for books/find then in bastians and make an enchanting table and eventually bookshelves, if you grind. You could also find enchanted books in dungeons or minecarts.

  I’m glad this mod and the mod author is finally getting more attention. I learned of her mods and DnT around the time it came out and I was appalled at how little known she and her mods are. DnT has quickly become my favorite mod and I highly recommend you use it along side terralith, as well as Phillips Ruins and Friends and Foes!

  If you use a mod like Distant Horizons, you can tell just how empty/repetitive the world truly is. Install something like Terralith and get more structure rework mods in your life. It makes the world feel new.

  Acctually! The Undead Crypt is often found on the surface (it has an entrance) and while mining underground. I found many of them in many different worlds.

  The only thing that breaks it for me when it comes to Bare Bones is the tree leaves. I think Bare Bones looks incredible don't get me wrong but just the tree leaves just doesn't look good to me.
