since you mentioned Koa (which I loved, it was short, but I had a blast with it), make sure your eye is on Mika and The Witch's Mountain! Same developer, I only found out about Koa because I had backed Mika...not a traditional platformer, a lot more emphasis on flight. It's essentially Kiki's Delivery Service, as a game. Explore a 3d world, meet people and deliver packages on your broom! I'm crazy excited about it!
I actually asked Wayforward about a 3D Shantae game not long after Shantae & the Seven Sirens released, so I'd *really* love to see that happen myself; but unlike a lot of *other* western made 3D platformers, Shantae has gone for a very *anime* artstyle ever since Shantae & the Pirates Curse, so in order to keep that going & avoid any uncanny valley crap, I'd say they should employ the same cell shading technique used by *other* anime games like Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba the Hinokami Chronicles, which'd make the 3D models look like 2D drawings. *Another* reason I think a 3D Shantae game would be cool is because it'd allow Wayforward to bring all of the martial arts techniques Shantae could unlock in the first three games back to attack foes with along *with* her hair whip attack; maybe it could even work something like the combat in Beyond Good & Evil, minus the companion attacks of course; just a little more *polished* .

Definitely takes inspiration from morrowind and gothic 1 but definitely not anything like dark souls (thank god )
Its very good, though trying to play a Wizard isnt really working out so far
I liked the voices and the "juvenile jokes" that's just the charm of the world, it's a vibe rather then a then them trying to be funny. I will say though that naming a entire character as "Kartos the God of Ore" is just dumb to me, it's just a flimsy tie-in gag.

*Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom* came out this year, and is hands down my favourite 3D Platformer I've played since *Super Mario Oddyssey!* Yes, it's *that* good.

The first Grapple Dog is really. It's a super cute platformer and it seems like the sequel adds more mechanics which may or may not work. Id recommend checking out the first one as all you do is play as Pablo who can run, jump, bounce, and grapple.
Yeah, I've wanted to give it a try since pretty much it was released, but its just one of those things that I kept putting off and now I'm swamped with a ton of other games I want to play. This demo definitely renewed my interest so I hope to get to it soon.

Thank you! It's tough with all these showcases, I get that having them all back-to-back like that does help a lot of them, but some great games inevitably fall between the cracks when there are so many.

Same. I never heard of it before I stumbled across this demo and now it and Tactical Breach Wizards are the games I'm looking forward to the most later this year.
I'm going to be honest, part of the reason I featured Abyss X Zero and Ufo 50 in this video is because I thought they had demos. I was so convinced of this that I didn't realize they didn't have demos until I played all the other demos and was looking for them, thinking I had downloaded them, and wondering why I couldn't find them.

"Best game of the year" Wtf are smoking? This game bombed for a reason.
The graphics are too hideious for me to play it even if I wanted to. Color pallet, character design, nothing looks good. It's actually depressing and painful to look at. When its like that the gameplay doesn't matter. I'm someone that has played a ton of NES era games so the floor I have for graphics is crazy low.

Oops. On a second side note about corporations, no corporation in America is the same corporation except IBM, Coca-Cola and Disney. Every corporation has either been bought merged with somebody else and changed their entire staff lineup. So in regards of Atari being Atari, it's just following the path of every corporation that America has ever had where the leadership has changed. One thing I do have to say about this new Atari. They're reacquiring back their old assets, even assets that belonged in the Warner Brothers Day which became part of Midway which then became part of Warner Bros. Again, I'm starting to see a pattern here like the re-emergence of the old Atari. They do own their Jaguar patents technologies. They rebought the Atari St s The Atari XE assets and many of their other assets. They've been buying and I've been wondering why. Are you doing this? Maybe because of stopping possible lawsuits or maybe unifying the Atari name. Once again, I have no idea if it's Atari corporation, Atari entertainment, Atari games, Atari video games or Atari studios or if it's tari arcade. There's so many names that Atari has held over the years, but one thing I have to say they've been buying these games and these names and their older platforms as well as competitors. I wouldn't be surprised if they buy the assets of Coleco right about now. I keep saying it. They're probably going to buy TRS assets or assets of possibly MSX or whoever knows SNK. I hear that's for sale. Who knows. A side note SNK their hardware is made by Tommo And their software is made by a Japanese developer who has no care to do anything with their assets and the same thing could be said about TurboGrafx 16. The hardware is made by two different companies and their software is made by three different companies. I am so confused over here. Well anyway I could see a re-emergence happening and I hope this is a good sign for American innervation and an American icon to finally come back. It's good to see an RCA a zenith come back from the death and building back here in our beautiful country.
I must disagree with one thing you said about the reviews. I for one own every one of these Atari games and I have yet to make a review. All those games are on Steam and matter of fact I also bought them for my other platforms. Why would anybody do that. Because I enjoyed them. One thing I have to say is that the review writing takes a lot of time out of some people and I know I should get to it because that shows support, but sales should be the focal point and I wish there was a way to gauge how many of these items were actually sold more than how many were actually reviewed. As for Atari, Wade Rosen comes from Zigguart And really knows what it is to team up with indie developers more than AAA developers and I think that's why he's put this focus on them. I do see Atari buying many of the indie developers it worked with over this year coming but I'm really in tune to why you neglected to talk about the in television acquisition or some of the other acquisitions that were like the M networks or anything else and how that aligned to atari's behavior of doing retro. Right now retro is very in. I don't know why but it is and coming from a person who owned a calico and in television and Atari 2600 Atari 5200 the NES and Sega Genesis. I have to say retro seems so old and barbaric but there's something nostalgic behind it. It does something to a person. I don't know what it is. It makes a person happy in a way so please do a follow-up. If you can. On this video explaining about you know reviews and retro and why people are drawn to it, that would be great. Once again, thank you for our fabulous video. It was a fabulous video and I'm not knocking it.
