If i press - and + together what s happend?
Nothing, This is for gas engineers, thanks
@@snapgas9832 thank You,i pressed by mistake and i worry i done Something wrong
Informative but cut the crap music.
Decent tip👍🏼
Those burner gaskets are crap, not fit for purpose. I've been to boilers that are no older than two years and those gaskets are leaking. It's got to the point it's now my first check.... nothing worse than changing one of those on a hot heat cell
Thank you, good explanation
Evidently I have a 'single pipe' sytem , and had a Vaillant Eco Pure installed about 18 months ago, and it's now showing F83 AND F23! Vaillant say it's the system, installer says I need to bleed all rads and try just turning the boiler off at the receiver and leave for 10 minutes, then turn on again?? Nothing's working. Would a 'power flush help?
Hi, I don’t think it will help, it’s to do with the flow and return temps back to the boiler on 2 sensors So yes vaillant are correct it’s a system issue unfortunately My advice to get by would be to get the boiler changed to a Worcester RI as they don’t have these sensors and that could work
@snapgas9832 thanks for your help, much appreciated.
Was at one of these today the data badge says co2 9.6%/8.6% but any manual i find or see says 9.8%/9.2% which is right?
The tundish looks dodgy as well. Looks like 15mm in and out, should be 22mm out per building regs and cylinder manufacturer (or 28mm if it's a long run). Also doesn't have 300mm vertical pipe below the tundish. If one of the relief valves decides to let go with a lot of flow, it will likely overflow inside the loft space. Edit: Or, if that's 22mm in and out, and a 22mm T&P valve, should be minimum 28mm out.
Best way to do it is use your grips to grip the bypass ass close to the manifold as possible big flathead inbetween grips and manifold twist and it will fly out
Nice
just got into your videos they are the jobs i get and really relate to in the real world chris. keep up the good work and look forward to the ones i aint seen yet!
Nice 1 Cheers derek
Did you get professional training or doing this yourself?
Hi mate, I learnt as I went along, but also I used to buy old boilers from people and strip them down and rebuild them at home to get to know how they went together And once you have done 1 heat exchanger then they become a lot easier after that as you learn from mistakes or that you have taken too much stuff out that you didn’t need to
@@snapgas9832 I've repaired computers and built computers not much different I would imagine it's easier as a bigger component. I'm fed up with cowboys coming out and just telling you get a new boiler half my boiler is new after 11 years of repairs so why let all those new parts go to waste plus you can pick up a spares boiler or used one for £50-100 and need £10-20 worth of tools rather than spending £2500-£4000 on a boiler which will break down yearly.
nice shout. will keep that in mind.
What does 100 represent?
Is it safe to spray these with WD40, GT85, etc?
Mate, you don’t need a new fan. Any Fan on the negative side of the Burner, you just replace the Bearings.
Hi Can you advise, my boiler is the 24i junior with the same problem, where is the gasket?
Please get a gas safe engineer to repair this, as may be a different fault!
Needs a canopy built over it to finish it off
It was only meant in a light hearted way mate 👍
All thumbs and loud music. What did he say? Much easier to follow if shown in situ
Apologies, this was 1 of my first ever videos and was extremely nervous
Just been on holiday to Denmark last week and back to catching up. Scrolled down to your name to watch your videos first. Enjoy them. Keep up the good work. Missed you when you stopped. Just need people to be aware of your videos. Contents good. Part of a select few i would highly recommend. Some boys have made it youtube famous now and content is different or stopped doing videos. Thanks mate
Nice 1, thanks for that mate! Much appreciated
And don’t take the min max from the data badge. Some Greenstars have different on the badge than is in the MI’s.
Nice one mate
Which one is red seal
The top burner seal, they need to be checked for any leak of products of combustion every time, and replaced as necessary
Thanks for help
Great information mate thanks easy to follow
Glad to help
Great Video,I wish you would have posted this sooner, but thanks anyway, any advice is welcome!
This is actually an old video re uploaded to help out, go back through my earlier videos and you’ll see more mate like this
The will to live
😂 we all need this mate
You forgot the welds on the heat exchangers failing and the non cleanable burner blocking up. Absolute garbage piece of kit.
Sorry yeah your right, I was more thinking for servicing or just for safety aspects
@@snapgas9832us service monkeys cop for it all. Starts the jet engine noise when on low fire ? Best get that probe whipped out the flue quickly cos it’s about to flood your analyser. Then the customer comes running in going “that’s the noise I was telling you about !”
Real shortage of Vokera content on KZread. Particularly Linea 4709490.
Waste of an expensive filter! That is shocking.
How to test and change boiler components.
Hiya mate I've got a problem with my ideal logic combi 24 l3 fault ive changed the fan about 6-7 times but the new fan is keeps blowing been like this for almost 1 year no hot water or heating can't keep paying stupid call out charges for nothing when it does not fix the problem all they say is get a new boiler
Where are you based brother?
@@GasTraining blackburn
Not being local to you, my advice would be to contact ideal and pay for a 1 off repair Then the manufacturer will repair it Just what I would potentially do
I have a lot of the same tools, except I'm very focused on weight. I use a quickpic multi bit screwdriver.
Oh yeah they are good, I’ve got a wiha multi screwdriver in my service bag! They’re great!
Simple jobs really like changing divertor cartridges on vaillant, baxi, flow sensors, thermistors and how to test. General hints and tips for airlock and blocked h section. How to covert open to sealed system. Multi zone hive how to install, Unvented how to replace balancing valve and safety devices, elements.
Thank for posting. It's your way of working and your personality that draws people here, not so important of the content!
Thank you mate! Appreciate that! Any types of content you’d like to see going forward?
@@snapgas9832 Keep up the good work. Me and my friends really enjoy your uploads, repetitive or not especially about faults finding. Take care , have a great weekend mate!
Where did you get the probe extensions for your multimeter pal?
Think from rs uk online, type in fluke probe engenders, found them this way from memory
Didn't you win a knipex give away do you not use any of that gear
I did indeed mate, it’s too nice to use out on the road They’re my home tools 😂😂
@@snapgas9832 fair enough mate I've got loads of knipex stuff spread across All my bags, you take care of them they'll probably out last us quality tools
That's only 4. What are the other 3 🤔

Where did you get your multimeter probe extensions mate?
Another goodn Chris. Looks like you got a bigger/taller van now.
Yeah needed bit more space mate, only had a connect before
@@snapgas9832 no doubt. More van stock etc. means more 1st time fix. Means more income and less wasted time driving around. Great decision mate. Which model ? All the best
Fair play changing that valve 👍
Cheers mate, scary job I was petrified
Good to see you back.. you keeping busy as the weather warms up? I find work dies off during warmer weather.
Trying mate, as you say it dies off…. Hope to keep going will be a tough year I feel!
I usually disconnect the gas pipe, makes it a bit easier to wiggle the lh block out.
I agree it would make it easier, for me I just try not to disturb as little as possible, but yeah good idea and would be slightly easier
I gave up with the stress of that bypass ages ago, whole lot comes out for me! Was doing a block last week in a garage on low sleep and pulled the mains pipe off the turbine, guess what I forgot to turn off..
Yeah I like taking the whole lot out as does make it nice to work on a table etc. Oh wow! I bet you scared yourself whitless 😂 I done it a few weeks ago on a Baxi, the packing gland on the front spindle was weeping, forgot to isolate cold mains and water everywhere! Every days a school day 😂
Standard worcester leak there on the manifold.. . Was shouting at the screen... Check the red seal Chris !😂
Yep always tend to go at some point Haha! I Always check them mate!
Hands cuts are so easy on a worcester.
Haha totally agree! If you get away with only 1 your winning at life 😂
Did the new one come with the sump aswell? Or have to reuse old sump
The sump comes with it mate, not a bad job at all
A well explained video so that a diy person can do this confidently and safely. A side note, press the schrader valve pin first to check no water has passed the rubber diaphragm which would mean a new tank is needed.
Just a side note to this, just because you get a tiny bit of water out doesn’t mean the diaphragm has gone, it can just be condensation build up! Little tip for you 👍
Thanks for video
Also glad to see you back!
Nice to see you back again a good video
