Wow! He is so accurate, loss my Mantra and reformed back into an infancy stage of forgetfulness. If you know then you know that you don’t feel whole and it is a miserable feeling. Never heard the scientific breakdowns or even knew that the mind and soul was studied in so many ways. I want to learn more…

Didn't Europeans react to bells in the same manner pre WW2? Hitler destroyed the bells and the Americans destroyed the belfries during WW2. No more therapeutic sound. Unless of course they were creating the wrong frequency in the first place.

In 1972 I was a college freshman studying philosophy. One day after a class a dude pulled me aside and asked me if I’d be interested in learning transcendental meditation. It was like a two week course that culminated with me receiving my mantra. Lynch’s presentation was maybe the clearest, most accessible summation of transcendental meditation I’ve seen. I found transcendental meditation to be beneficial and useful despite the devolution of the movement into a creepy cult. Over the years my meditation practice has evolved. As a lay Theravada Buddhists my primary practice is mindfulness. Transcendental meditation gives you a taste of the infinite but it’s conditioned and transitory. Mindfulness takes you beyond the conditioned.

devil's advocate question: if there is deeper meaning in the universe whose understanding depends on unified field theory, why would humanity be forced to exist for hundreds of thousands of years only to discover that explanation via quantum physics in the 20th century?

Starting from this videi that the mighty Algo presented to me, I researcued into TM. So there are a LOT of words around a technique in fact so basic. Sit still in a quiet place and repeat a nomeaning sound in your head. And everything else is promises. I'll try it. But I won't pay and will not become a member nor a follower. I am my own goddess.

watch this on the david lynch foundation youtube channel and avoid the brain numbing, annoying, unnecessary background noise. whatever it is that motivates people to add background noise when people are speaking is hard to understand. perhaps it indicates a inability to focus on what is being said or needing distraction like having the tv on in the background all the time.

Im 7 minutes in and he's explaining this like a normal person. Anyone else I've ever heard trying to explain meditation uses language that's out of the grasp for most people, and likely because they don't have the accurate language to describe the experience themselves. Thank you David!

If you want, there are websites with mantras from TM. (They're divided into ages and genders, which seems a bit arbitrary, but it works for a lot of people.)
