Must always disconnect wires on the element when Ohm testing could pick up reading from the other element wires it shares. also would not recommend ordering electrical parts from Amazon, better guarantee from supply house. Great job overall!!

Thank you so much for this video! Currently looking for a new range hood that I need replaced, with a handyman quoting me $200 to install! I looked at video after video, nothing as detailed like this one! Great video, step by step guide that makes you feel confident about doing the work.

DIY Technician did not test the new part in case it was a bad part delivered. It happens when ordering from a parts supplier or other. In this case he got lucky.

Hi, I need to replace one of the fans in our old range hood and cannot find any model number on the hood, but it looks like the one that you replaced (same design and filters). Ours is a Kenmore "Solid State", that's all the information that's on the hood, and Kenmore cannot help me. I was just hoping that there may be a chance that you would have any information on the old hood that you replaced. Thanks.

It's not as powerful as I thought it would be, but it works very well. kzread.infoUgkxGjG43--gYqIoT4Xkur2PqCrtbKwTv2h There are three options to circulate air, and best of all a remote control for us lazy people. Installation was a breeze (no pun intended). It actually took longer to open the box then it did putting the side extenders on and sitting it in the window opening. It's a perfect alternative when you want airflow, but not the AC. Just might order another one for a different room. UPDATE: Bought another one like I said. They work great. Why not have two...

I'd soak-submerge the filter in very hot soapy water and dispose of the gunky water elsewhere rather than having the gunk/soap scum go down your drain and stick to the pipe walls. This method is fine if you rent LOL.

It doesn't look like you have any ducting in that wall, which means all the grease that gets sucked up will end up inside your wall creating a HUGE fire hazard and you insurance company will laugh at you when they find out you caused the problem.

Thank you so much for sharing this! This work unbelievably well! This has been my go to way to clean my exhaust fan filters and it's so satisfying when all the burnt grease just comes off so easily. The same method works well for other things as well, like oven racks and such. I have been using your method for years, but today while being amazed how easily dirt comes off my oven racks, I remembered I should thank you. So thank you, thank you, thank you!
