Will my insurance cover a neckbrace from the emotional whiplash I get from this episode? First I'm gasping, horrified and then cackling at "everybody stop having walls, I guess" or "cookoo nut man"😮😂😢😅

I'm new and I like this version of crime telling- there's pictures, sources in the description, voice sounds like a news anchor. Idk why people are being such haters.

Grew up in Cheshire, a "mosher" myself. I remember how horrible hearing all this as it unfolded. There are no words. I also went to college with Zoey Newlove, who lost her Dad in the other unprovoked attack you mentioned. A truly shameful time in our history. My they all rest in peace, and those responsible to further face the consequences on their hayness actions.

I actually grew up with Patty Booher's brother and I vividly recall her brother telling me what happened. It was jarring. He said that when Bissil was arrested, Patty's eye balls were in his pants pocket if I recall.

11hrs ago??? I am SO luckyyyyy. Love you guys oh I have a story it’s kind of short but it has a ghost 👻. Ok so yes you can say my name if it gets on the pod my name is isabelle or Izzy I was just chilling on my bed and I was watching tv (I had COVID) and the cord was on the foot frame (it was rapped around) and I literally saw it rise up and fall I got up after not being able to move for around three days and ran to my dad (I’m 11) and cried bc I was scared (srry for not putting any periods) one of the next days I found out that my big brother had died, so I got up after asking my dad,”are you joking?” Then him saying that he wouldn’t joke about that.and helped my mom.(it is different dads btw) so that in my opinion is crazy so byeeee love you and keep it weird.❤️

🤦‍♀️ I don’t think you can dismiss some things as “sign of the times” And “it was the 40’s” and then also get outraged at people viewing homosexuality badly when “it was the 40’s” either get outraged at every outdated opinion, or none of them. OR better yet, you’re getting mad at the news people focusing on this man’s sexuality instead of the victim…but YOU are doing the exact same thing. Present the case, quit belly aching and give more info on the victim if you’re that upset that everyone is focused on his homosexuality.

Ommgggggg….let’s get our facts right and talk about common sense. YES, Patsy has makeup on prior to going downstairs and finding the note. Also, when you call 911, ppl usually don’t hang up because someone is dying beside them so the call is their lifeline, but this situation is completely different. She was completely mising, therefore 911 seems almost useless to sit on a cord phone end do NOTHING in those minutes waiting when you want to be SEARCHING and FINDING. Also, there are NOT 3 voices at the end of the call and other specialists have said the same thing. Patsy is most likely to say “help me Jesus”. If she just killed her child, there is NO WAY she would be saying those words. Also, you mentioned the 911 operator said the panic stopped. Well, when you hear “help me Jesus” it literally has the same tone and panic than when she was on the phone. Also, who wrote the note? The S. B. C. T. Or whatever. The 911 operator asked WHO wrote the note. She clearly didn’t know but then just quickly looked at the end of the note and read the last words. It’s not that difficult to understand. You literally just flip the page over and it’s there. If someone asked you the question and had a several page note, you would do the same. I could say more, but I don’t have the time. Ps. Everyone please remember my name, because I am creating a podcast on this case and others out of my frustration from so many ppls lack of common sense.

Same. Not for your break-up, my condolences, but for the hard times in life. I hit a deer during dusk and now my car's on the side of the highway where I hit it until I can get a tow-truck out in the morning. It was my first real accident and I'm still in shock. It's kinda crazy that such a morbid topic can be so comforting to listen to during times like these. Ash and Alaina really have become my comfort people.

So vile that peoples sexuality is put on trail as well as their potential guilt of a crime This is so often seen with woman and of course gay individuals Even probs more shocking is when a victim of crime s sexuality is used to condone the vilolence or blame the victim

My roomie and I thought we dodged this bullet back in '74 when we declined a ride from a suited guy in a red car while hitching on Bennett Valley Road near Sonoma Mountain Road. We all had a rule not to accept a ride from an older man (over 30; we were only 19) in a suit out on the rural roads. This guy had "creep" written all over him, and having recently learned of a murdered girl found in the area, we immediately lied to the guy that we were just goofing off and were walking over to the fire station where our dads worked. He sped off, and we high-tailed it to the fire station and used their phone to call a friend to pick us up. We told the fireman on duty about the guy, and instead of taking it seriously he berated us for being hippies. Never hitchhiked again.

I unfortunately understood and related a lot to his writings of knowing something was wrong with him but not understanding why. I also understand the need to do something but not having a reason for it. When you are in a place mentally like this it can be hard to overcome the urges and I don't mean just hurting yourself or others but in his case the writing before he had even gone through with stuff.

Couldn’t a lot of these murders be explained by the man from the train? You covered the viscilla case a while ago and quoted from Bill James book “The Man From the Train” when you did that episode, he discusses Clementine in that book. Just curious as to why you didn’t elude to that episode while doing this one?
