I am a active duty Army soldier, archer, hunter, fisherman and outdoorsmen. I wanted to create a channel that is solely dedicated to all things hunting, fishing and outdoors. I hope you enjoy the videos!
I am new to youtube and editing videos. My schedule as an active duty Army soldier does not allow a lot of time to learn how to edit video's but I will ensure to stay consistent with the uploads and get better as I progress. We do not care at wateree rec if you come to fish if you’re not military. Just make sure you don’t disturb the campers, I’ve seen you up there a couple times. As long as yall don’t cause any problems it’s all good!
Well to be clear I am military. The rec was one of my go to locations and I have caught my biggest cats fishing the same point there. If you’ve seen any of my other short vids with giant blue cats they all came from in front of the rec. All from the same point which I tried to keep secret for awhile because nobody ever really fished there. They all kinda stuck near the tent area or boat ramp.

Yes, there is a RV camp ground that I’m sure allows tents called Lees Landing (it’s in the video) and across the lake you have Santee State Park that has cabins for rent and camp sites. I have fished the dock of Lees landing a lot when Packs Landing gets too busy. It is a great place to fish. Most if not all of the locations I mentioned have camp sites or ones within a couple miles.

I have recently moved to NC and in the process of finding new spots. I plan to make another video once I get a few good locations I feel comfortable recommending. I don’t want to recommend a spot unless I have been to it multiple times and have caught fish.

It just depends man. Sometimes especially at this location they can be a nuisance because they are all over the place. I am mainly just out to catch trophy size catfish so it gets annoying getting your bait stolen or moved especially when it’s already a nightmare below the dam getting your bait in a good location.

When I saw your video was at that location I had to watch. I have been there twice this month. Nothing has changed. People will walk right up to your spot and try to fish. I use 6 ounce weight so I don't drift into other people.
Yeah it gets annoying! Especially since I don’t fish off the platform right below the dam and try to get away from everyone. To much negativity at times with everyone’s effort to be competitive. I just love to fish. I also love meeting new people but it’s tough to find good people in hot spots like this. Everyone feels like they own it in some way or can critique everyone’s setups. I don’t have time for all of that. I like to let everyone figure it out for themselves unless they ask or I see something I can politely/respectfully help out on.

Hi Greg, it’s a Hobie Pro Angler 12! I use it for kayak bass tournaments and I install monster rod holders when I want to go catfishing. Those rod holders are great because they are easy to take on and off but I tend to catfish more then bass fish nowadays.

Yes sir! Bait Runners have been around for a while. Penn and a lot of companies use them originally designed for live bait. In my experience most catfish anglers don't take enough time to let the catfish set itself especially while using circle hooks. So, I am a big fan of my Penn Conflict II but maybe one day ill venture to another style. It's all second nature to me now.

I have a couple longer vids on my channel. Pick up a regulation and turn to the WMA chapter. It will have game zone map and WMAs by name. Just find one in your area and take a drive. During the season most guys scout new places on Sundays since you can’t hunt on sundays.

Just need a WMA permit and then the only other restriction is that there is no hunting on sundays. During season most hunters scout on sundays because of that but I regardless I always wear orange during the season.

Check out my video of my 4 favorite bank fishing spots on Lake Wateree. I believe it is number 4 Wateree dam. Instead of walking to the cement platform I just find a spot on the bank off the parking lot below the dam.

Thanks, that is Google Earth Studio! It’s a beta program that you have to fill out an application on the site to request access from Google. Usually takes about a day to get access and it’s for video creatures.
I always love to drone footage. What kind of drone do you use. Funny story the 1st time I took my drone to the river it went crazy about 75 ft out and landed in the water... only had it 2 days. I bought a new one the other day DJI Mini 2 and I love it, a lot easier to use and doesnt go haywire like the 2 GoPro Karma drones I have had.
I use a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom!
It took me a long time before I was comfortable enough to fly over water and made sure it was covered under insurance..lol
