Question: what does FBA stand for? My great (x4) grandfather was a slave who had to fight in the civil war on the confederate side. At the end, he got paid, bought his freedom and some property, and built himself a house. In the end, he died a poor man due to an accident that left him paralyzed on his farm. All the white farmers got government subsidies. The black farmers did not and everyday was a struggle. When they could no longer work, they often went broke or lost their land. After that my family was poor for many generations. I have always been anti reparations. Until I saw what this government seems to have available to financially support illegal uninvited immigrants with cash cards and hotel lodging and 3 meals a day for months and years on end! Seems like everyone got a piece of the pie except our lineage. This is the first time I’ve ever said “yes, the government is so eager to support the entire world and all its wars, immigrants we didn’t invite….they got all this extra, let them go ahead and finally pay reparations for a national atrocity.” That’s my take now.
FBA- Foundational Black American. Also it should have taken illegal immigrants receiving handouts, benefits, and support from the American government. 200 years of free labor from our people which made the U.S. the most powerful and richest country on Earth as well the government subsidies that white European peasants were receiving just coming over here should been more than enough.

Many of those Africans come to America to benefit themselves and their families back home, they don't care about being black in america because its not their home or concern. I'm married to an Ethiopian woman and have been in and out of Ethiopia many times, but outside of my in-laws, I feel no connection with those people or try to adopt their culture, only adapt to it when I'm in their country. My father is from Nigeria, but my mother is black and from America. I was born and raised in the US, around my mothers people, my aunts, uncles and grandmother. I have spent my entire life in America and have faced racism. And what I don't like is how I see and meet other Africans in my retail job, especially Nigerians, they see my Nigerian features, and they try to call me Nigerian. They say the same thing "You know where you come from," slights like that, even though i know and have been raised in black culture. And I always have to make the distinction "My father is from Nigeria, but I was born and raised here." I know biblically that you inherit what you are from your father, but I also honor my MOTHER and my father. I own being Black, even Black-African American(call me both black and African), shoot even call me a hybrid. I'll even take Igbo or Gadite, but it never felt right calling me Nigerian, cuz I wasn't raised or brought up over there. So imma stand by my black people, and imma start checking other Africans I meet. Isaiah 58:1.
