Interesting to see the engines red line is identical to the Jawa350 two stroke twin still available brand new today from F2 motorcycles in Britain. Premix only, no oil injection.

The "Mods vs. Rockers" took place in England, and the Mods typically rode Italian Vespas and Lambrettas.

Dad’s first Cushman had a platform where your feet sat. In 1961 he bought a used Cushman, same as pictured in this video. It was red color with the twin chrome pipes, a buddy seat and a pedal start. At 14 years old with my buddies we rode all over east central Indiana. What I wouldn’t give for that very bike today. He died st 82 and had Red Honda scooter that would run over 70mph. Thanks for the memories.

I am curious. Which bike do you like better: 1) the Suzuki TS185 or 2) the Honda XL185? Which is the better performer?

Haven't seen one of these in years ! One of my school mates had one and I would have given my eye teeth even for one of the red single speed scooters but parents wouldn't go for it. Glad to still see one living a good life !!!

After loving several Ducati singles I bought one of these new in 1971 and rode it hard for several years. Looked great at the dealership but it was the a frustrating machine obviously "designed by committee"... multiple contradictory elements set at cross purposes. Examples: 1) Desmo valve gear for extreme top end revs that was choked out by a puny 28mm carb. 2)The small carb gave it tremendous bottom end grunt that was wasted on a very close ratio 5 speed transmission. It could be sprocketed down for tremendous off road power and a ridiculously low top speed or sprocketed up for on road use but then first gear was too tall for off road use. Should have had a wide ratio gearbox to enable usefullness on and off road. 3)The steering was way to quick for serious off road use at speed. It handled like an overweight trials bike. I often got into sphincter clinching out of control fishtailing in loose ground. I heard of owners cutting the frame to impart more rake to the forks.

I raced an XR250R with a XR's Only overbore kit,/exhaust and Moose racing tuned suspension. Still bullet proof and while down on HP compared to 2 stroke 250's it could climb better, handle technical descents easily and the suspension was supple but still capable of big hits. For midwest woods riding/racing the only bike that came close was the KDX200's.

My 2000 model (last of the pretty gen1's) N (unfaired) just has a Danmoto end can, renthal bars and I've knocked two teeth off the front and added one to the rear. Total wheelie monster and sounds awesome with no baffle. It may only be worth 3k here in the UK but with just 10k miles it's my forever bike.

My first bike was a 1998 RT 100, I rode that thing for years and all it ever needed was tires and brakes. Mine was the usual Yamaha color of blue and white but I like the red and white a lot more.

Back in the 60's when I was 5, 6 year old my pappy introduced me to cushman our neighborhood ice cream man made his rounds on a cushman three wheeled servy car or cushman's equivalent. Cushman was really big back then.🙏🙋‍♂️🙏now that I think about it our mailman drove one and downtown the meter reader did their rounds on/in one aswell. This was Shreveport,LA. Back in the early 60's. Boy I long for those days! 🙏🙋‍♂️🙏 we even had trolly cars that ran on electricity looked like any trolly except there was a long pole at the ends that skidded along the power line at the top of telephone poles dude that trolly would be trowing sparks as it ran down the street. Occasionally would start a fire, in August when the leaves were really dry, probably why they stopped using them they were really cool though. Stand at the trolly/buss stop watching it coming towards you really got you excited to travel by buss/trolly.👋🤠👍🙏
