I'm sorry to here about your head injury. I was skiing in Massachusetts years ago and fell on a icy patch and sled into a tree stump which ruptured my kidney and I spent ten days in the hospital. I lost 2-3 pints of blood internally and in my Blatter ,. My blood count was monitored every other hour to see if my kidney was healing or if it had to be removed . Luckly it did heal back together since I had to stay in bed the whole time without moving. I still kept on skiing but was very cautious from then on in Colorado,Utah, california, and Nevada. Oh by the way I spent a year in Vietnam getting mortar fire ,snipper fire and getting stitched up from stupid things since I drove an 17 ton army wrecker all over the lower part of Vietnam. Life goes on and everybody has a story, you were meant to be which somebody told me one time. Good luck Buddy

Thanks for the come back Chris. I live on Long Island New York and we have only about five fields that we can fly at, and they are owned by the State or the county. Even then we have to be careful about local residential housing. This month we are having a lot of parades on the Island celebrating ST. Patties day. Erin Go Bragh Chris

Hey, enjoy your St. Patrick's Day! I have basically quit flying. I had a terrible head injury in Oct of 21. I recently received the approval of my Disability Retirement. I am working another job now, but only 25 hours a week. It's been an eventful few years for sure! And that Draco was flown by my friend. We had the RC police of our club out next to us. He was going to land, but was too fast and gave it power. Instead of overflying them, he tried to pull up and come in again...didn't work out well...lol

@@ChrisCallahan2018 you’re a grown man and you know what you’re capable of doing. A couple months ago when I started working again, but had no strength or stamina yet, I needed to be near the Flint Flyers Field inside GA Veterans Park in Cordele. After work was done I took out the Hawksky, Conscendo and whatever the name is of the ArrowsRC glider. I had no idea if the “chemo shakes” were completely gone, so I figured I’d see if I could get some attitude and if things went poorly, I could turn the 3 planes into gliders. Fine motor with the fingers didn’t feel normal the first few laps, but after that I got more comfortable making turns. By the 3rd flight, this time with the Conscendo and AS3X I was flying wide open 3 feet off the ground, doing loops and rolls. So, give a powered glider a try before you quit. And with your fancy, expensive planes try a receiver with AS3X and Safe. I got too many cool Freewing, Flightline and FMS jets to stop flying. And if I have to use SAFE to land and somebody makes fun of me I’ll pull out the “You know I’m a cancer survivor right?!?!” LOL! I just don’t want you to quit. Love your videos and nonsensical approach and explanation of how you’re flying. Especially the P-38 series. You’re just a good guy Chris.

Hi Don. I haven't flown in a couple of years. I fell off my treadmill and concussed myself, bit the big problem was that I later fell down my basement stairs and really cracked open my skull. I dont remember any of it but was down in my basement unconscious for 14 hours. How I managed to get upstairs the next morning I'll never know, but called a friend to take me to the hospital. It's been a rough couple of years! Thanks for checking in buddy!

Watched a “Short” video on a guy from Tennessee flying his new T-45, of course made me think of you. Thought I’d check in and see how you’re feeling. I finished up 7 chemotherapy and 35 radiation treatments on my throat tumor. Other than losing my taste buds and losing 50 pounds it wasn’t bad. There were a couple weeks a month after the chemo/radiation I wanted to kill myself I felt so bad, but I wasn’t gonna let a little tumor win. Back to solid foods after 3 1/2 months of protein shakes and back to work last week. Hope you’re feeling closer to normal and flying again.

@@ChrisCallahan2018 cancer sucks. Only thing worse is the treatment. 7 1/2 hours every Monday for 7 weeks and 35 doses of radiation with a fiberglass face mask strapped to a carbon fiber table. My fear is, I’ll forget what rock bottom felt like and I’ll take feeling good for granted. Again, if there’s an upside to throat cancer, I lost 50 pounds, 5 waist sizes and every bit of visceral fat was the first thing to go. Glad you’re doing better as well.

Hi A beautiful scale copy of Draco .You mentioned experimenting with C of Gravity. My take is , it is.either right or wrong no half right or halfvwrong. Most planes with a main wing spar the C of G runs through this spa .Your angle of incidence between your main wing your stabalizer must also be correct .If this is out it can confuse the s hole issue leading you to make all sorts of incorrect loading decisions when you try and trim an aeroplane that feels dead with no sweet spot. Karl Goldberg and Chris Foss have the correct methods and procedures to always make sure your centre of gravity and angles of incedence all come together in harmony to produce the most amazing feeling of wanting to fly hands off. You sir fly very well such a pity you had a small mishap I am sure it looks fixable looks like a solid plane, the sun was shining directly into your face and milliseconds count I think it caused that glitch that before you knew you lost it. Your only mistake flying too low, us old timers had a saying when someone offered them a chance to fly their aircraft. " TAKE HER UP 9 MISTAKES HIGH PLEASE " then my airplane ha ha. I pray the repairs go.well , that beauty belongs in the air not on the deck xxx
