Cracking the whip, but notice it’s out of the top almost not down through the ball. Creating the feeling of speed sooner so you can actually get the speed generated by the time you reach the ball. Much different than old teaching of waiting to crack through the ball.

What the difference between sequencing and tempo? I know that my tempo is often way too fast on the backswing to the tune of a 2 to 1 ratio, if not faster. Is this because of poor sequencing or something else?

Hi Chris interesting video. We are actually doing a study now on chipping and different players do have that ball forwards more at address. As you know ball forward will get the shoulders more open but then they have to have enough flexibility and stability to control the low point which is why dare I say it, you hit the first 2 heavy, ball 3 you make the adjustment as a Pro, keep the weight more forward and you boxed it! Ball forward will act as a straightener for the arms and legs at impact which I do like as well as increase side bends at Imp. Nice video thanks for sharing MM

I agree, when I do that the ball does travel further off the tee. The problem is that I go back to bad habits and forget that extra turn at times. I lose focus a lot during a round of golf at my age (64). I also do have flexibility problem with two shoulder surgeries and neck fusion.

Sir, have you seen the new trend of power hitters doing this: a.) On down swing, they "tip back slightly" b.) Pop up and twist their lead foot For extra monster distance. As, we know from newton's law, action equals reaction, the only reason that left foot would come up are the following: a.) Golfers CG is leaning back a little. b.) At the top of the swing going down, there is some kind of head down, shoulder down, hip down or some kind of power move to load/bend the club more. c.) Finally, at the bottom of the swing to release the opposite happens to the body. It must lean to the side and "pop up" with the lead foot. Yes, it's very strange, but just slo mo all the big hitting pro's with their driver. There is also a tremendous "twist" of the lower body that may contribute also. The result is a complicated swing that has low reliability, and I think any pro can emulate this by essentially swinging at 105%. If the course is wide and sloppy enough this type of swing can work, and I see this is the new trend.
