omg I love winter park, but it looked like all you went on was village way. Hughes has to be one of my faves imo. I will occasionally ride Norwegian or mulligans mile if they're groomed but yeah

I think it all depends on the kind of trips you want to take. Most of this was gravel and nothing terribly technical so 29ers were a good fit. A lot of people have liked the drop bar mountain bike setup. The fat tires were really nice once we got into the trees with all the brush and then the sand. The more upright/touring geometry with tire clearance is nice to have. Salsa has some good options. Also depends if you are doing racks or bags. Steel is nice because you have mounting options. I like the lightweight bag options: bike bag dude, Revelate designs, rogue panda. Surly has some nice steel options as well. Some people take it more to the extreme for like AZT and Colorado trail and go minimalist and use full suspensions for the singletrack. 650b+ is good for that. Sorry Jason. It wouldn't let me post this as a reply for some reason.

Saw a few different types of bikes in the video. Which ones tended to work best? im researching bikes that will do well on trips like the one in the video. I'm liking the salsa fargo right now.
