Famous Graves with Diamond Dave
Famous Graves with Diamond Dave
I've turned my hobby of visiting famous graves into a youtube channel. I've driven hundreds of miles just to visit a grave of a famous or not-so-famous person to tell their stories. I think everyone needs to be remembered. You can email me at [email protected]

I was born in Maryland, have lived in Dayton all my life and now live in Kettering. I used to do a good bit of walking for exercise in Calvary Cemetery. Most of my dead relatives are in other cemeteries, including Calvary, but I do have a few named Lindamood in Woodland. I was walking there once and discovered an uncle I didn't know was buried there, and the Lindamood jumped out at me, lol. I have a high school friend buried there also. My grandpa and dad worked at NCR back in the 60s when we were kids (now completely torn down), and I have great childhood memories of the employee recreation park with double swimming pools and a theater where we had a nice yearly Christmas program back in the day. I worked at Delco Moraine and graduated from Patterson Co-Op High School in 1973; again, both gone now. My ex-hubby is buried in Memorial Park. I didn't realize Agnes Moorhead was buried there. She was evidently married twice and obviously didn't suffer a fool, like the saying goes. Lol.
Thanks for sharing. You sound like a nice person to meet. My Gpa had Bogan Mayflower on Woodman. I don't suppose you heard of it. It's now Lewis and Michael.
@@famousgraveswithdiamonddave I'm right now trying to locate exactly where Bogan Mayflower was. Looking mapwise to me and from other info like it was near Research Park and Patterson Road, probably back in there further near Woodman Fen? I've never done any walking back there and not sure I have it right. My sister actually works at the tissue lab near Patterson and Woodman. I can remember when the State Farm was there ages ago before the buildings and businesses there now. She lives in Greenmont Village close by also.
@@cynthiamurphy3669 I think you are correct. 1827 Woodman Drive. Close to Woodman Fen. I was only 5 or 6 last time I was in the bldg. Which was 60 yrs ago. I'm sad because I wish I had more memories of Bogan's.
He had so many fans. I'm so sorry he died at 75.
Indeed!
This was so interesting. I learned a lot about my city I had no idea about.
Good to hear. I liked doing this one. All in one take.
My father and uncle are buried there. U.S. Army Infantry SGT. Alberto Armenta - Vietnam U.S. Army Medic SGT. Ernesto Garcia - Vietnam. RIP to all buried there.
Nice place for sure.
After the recording studio work, Buck told Rich not to ride the motorcycle. I am guessing Rich was probably high as a kite. Lots of fools get high then ride. He was a big loss and sad so many musicians had drug and alcohol issues.
Yes Sir.

I wonder why Spahn didn't try and evict the Mansion family from his property. Will there come a day when the Spahn ranch property will be razed and built up into housing or offices, or a Starbucks ?
He was getting special favors from Squeaky. I doubt it. It's state land now, a park.
Sorry about your sister. God bless.
Thank you.
1,200 acres is staggering to think about. Thank you Dave for finding Jack Larson and the others that were presented.
My pleasure and good to hear from you!
I liked to watch The Rifleman, and I loved Johnny Crawford's song Cindy's Birthday. He was a cutie.
Thanks for commenting!
Thank you for sharing your personal stories. That is so sweet that you make the effort to visit and clean your sister’s grave.💕 Thank you also for showcasing Dayton, my hometown.❤️
Thank you. This was one I wanted to to for a long time.
You are a wonderful detective, returning to that horrible day some of us lived through. I was just a kid in school that day. I appreciate your time taking us along on your outings and the way you organize your videos. Thank you, Dave.
You are very kind in watching vids and commenting. It helps the channel a lot.
I have to say you get around! Thank you, Dave.
Thank you, Dave, make sure you bring water to drink.
Indeed! I'm now 65 and pace myself lol.

Excellent tour, thank you, Dave.
You are kind!
You should carry a little hand brush to sweep dirt or grass off the dates when the dates are covered. ( Just saying)
Thank you.
Ray combs is a little further south from Dayton in Hamilton right off of rt 4. He was in the movie overboard and hosted the family feud.
Yes, I have him in an upcoming video.
@famousgraveswithdiamonddave I live 2 mins from there and down the street from his middle school. I miss him every where

Great Hollywood couple. She died too young in a plane crash and left him in a deep depression. Clark went into the military and was a hero. Good video Dave….
Thanks, Gary. You are up late or early.
@@famousgraveswithdiamonddave early bird catches the worm. Retired and reason for early or late. LOL
@@TheSassy777 A good life!

Thanks for the info!
Hello Dave, just a note on Eva Gabor. Her sister Zsa Zsa Gabor is there with her sister. I had seen the placement of Zsa Zsa's ashes placed under the name maker by her husband . It was on the evening news
Thanks for the update!
He doesn't talk about the Back Ranch House. That's where the Family hung out. Charley and others sold lids and beer there. They got busted but George had to pay a fine. This was in late 1968. I had a1957 Buick Century and we'd use the payphone at the horse corral. In those days we had up to six households on party lines.
Thanks for the info. I didn't know about Ranch House.
Dave, I am very sorry for the loss of your sister. You could have hung around the grave longer, and told any stories you wanted to about her. We would have stuck with you. It's amazing that you go back every year. Thank you for sharing that with us. You're an amazing brother.
Thanks Pal. More to the story... mom left the family soon after and we ended up in Foster Care and Children Homes. My memory of her is fuzzy. Thanks for your kindness, friend.

Hello Diamond Dave. I just found you and want to say you do a wonderful job, it is a lot of work walking Inglewood Park. One of our old neighbors who lived across the street in Inglewood was Miss Helen Kilne, better known as Tinker Bell. I know she was there but could never find her spot. I remember she would always be riding her bike to and from the store, gardening, and even going up onto the roof of her home to do some repairs. I have always wondered how she got to work ( Anaheim, Disneyland ) from Inglewood as it is about 35 miles from her home, she did not have a car. 🪐
Thank you. I found her back off the road a ways. She's in another one of my vids. Thanks for commenting and watching.
Great video. One small correction. You meant to talk about Powel Crosley, Jr., who died in 1961. But you showed the foot stone of his father, which is a few feet from the correct one.
Thanks!
Thanks for starting the video with Heimlich, because it shows my Nichol family red granite headstone and couch-shaped bench.
Oh good. I'm going to watch for it now - I see it in the distance. Very nice!
Thanks Dave !
You are very welcome.
Yet with all this YOU failed to tell us when SHE died and since it's not on the stone none of us know. Thanks a lot.
Thanks!
Thank you for another wonderful video. It was so touching that you shared your sister's grave with us and so very sweet that you still visit her.
Thank you!
Sorry you never got to know your older sister.
Thank you for your kind comment!
Thanks!
Thanks a million!
Nice job Dave! I loved that you visited your sister. Very special.
Hi Cheryl, thanks!
DD, sad to hear what your family had to go through i had a Huffy as well, the high back gave me the Chopper bad ass look.
Thanks, Uncle. I think Huffy made mowers too??
Great video Dave. Such an interesting array of people and their resting places. Sheeesh, yes Agnes Morehead seemed stuck up for sure. Sorry about your sister Dave and good on you for visiting her grave every year. I’ve been to my wife’s grave maybe 3 times in 13 years. It just brings a flood of memories and reminds me of how much I miss and love her. I know she’s in heaven waiting for us to come home to her and be together forever. God bless you Dave.
Thanks! And I look forward to hearing from you! Give her a hello from me next time.
