I have the same radio but mine powers on by the volume knob. My blue dial background doesn’t work either, but has a white dial clear indicator. I am looking for information about the Buss fuse that sits behind the indicator in the metal housing inside to get the light to work again. Mine also says it’s a 35w radio, so yours is probably the same

Hi, good video. Thank you. Can you please demistify is there option to adjust azimuth on TP60 and TP11 an 16 tonearms? I saw some claims that Thorens designed TP60 to change azimuth in way that with one hand holding headshell and with other armwand tube and then twist it (torsion movement) in order to make azimuth adjusted? I'm completely suspicious about this claims...
@navydiving5 күн бұрын
@pkojovic which azimuth are you talking about? Short answer is you can sufficiently adjust azimuth in all three axes if need be...🤔 If you are talking about trying to keep the top of the headshell parallel with the record surface (which should be adjusted to be parallel to the floor) then yes I use a tiny spirit level on top and twist the headshell gently until the bubble shows level...

I took a quick peek inside and yep, I could see the gear was missing a couple teeth. Thanks so much for posting the link to the gear part. I ordered 2 just in case. It arrived today and it took me about 3 hours to replace. It’s my first time attempting any audio repairs. I used to be into cars but that was many years ago. Anyways, after I got it all back together and tested it, it would play for a while and then stop. I was desperate at that point and just kept rewinding, fast forwarding and playing in both directions. Eventually it came around and now seems to be working perfectly Thanks again for posting your vid, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without your help. I feel pretty good about saving this deck.

Good work! I think the volume control is an old carbon-based pot that would be better treated with Deoxit faber-lube than D5, which can be too aggressive. Also, I find it easier to fit the annoying slider and spring and hold it there with your finger as you fit it back into the case. The dreaded cracked main gear is a common fault on the DD models but can also plague the WM-02, it seems.
@Luckiestmanalive-bb1mi26 күн бұрын
I agree with you - I think this unit has not been opened before. The original belt can become soft so that playing it stretches it to a point where it falls off one of the wheels but the other wheels keep going - stretching it until it gets so large it eventually falls off.

@@navydiving Thanks! I have printed the headshell with and without the bullet. I first tried printing using a 0.4mm nozzle with various layer heights on a Creality K1, and while the prints turned out okay, I wasn't overly pleased with the results due to spacing gaps. I ended up switching to a Creality Ender 3 Pro with a 0.2mm and printed at a 0.12mm layer height and the print turned out considerably better. I'm going to next try a 0.08mm layer height to see if that is better yet. The only downside to the Ender 3 Pro with the 0.2mm nozzle is it takes A LOT LONGER to print; however, it's worth the wait for the finer detail.
