I’ve had this exact machine for 3 years. Could not be happier. Perfect cutting, great comfortable ride, cut my mowing time almost in half. The only gripe I have is the price of the Vangaurd oil filters. 30$ for an oil filter is a complete rip off! Shame on You B&S!

Product offering for USA and Europe is different. In Europe we have different decks, because of different grass and cutting conditions. You have watched the product video for the European model, which comes with side, rear and mulch kit included (Triple mowing technology). This feature, unfortunately, is not available in the US.

Why do you use such crappy fuel gauges on such a excellent machine they fog and crust up on the inside the clear plastic goes opaque and cracks up and break which lets water infiltrate into your fuel system if you don't notice it in time and they are way too expensive to replace on a regular basis !

@@tgh223 that's actually what I do ... kind of a pain in the ass when you're tryin' "to getter done" and you have to stop and stick a fuckin' stick in your gas tank when you have a gas gauge option .. especially when you pay that much money for a quality mow and it has those flimsy parts on it ...they need to put some real spherical joints on that thing too .. for that rather lofty retail price they force you to pay !

Hi Cambalamba, we wouldn't call it better, but different. Market and grass circumstances in Europe ask for different mowing solutions. The Triple mower deck is a typical feature that has been developed with the European customer in mind. The nice hydraulic deck lift was added after feedback from the market. Quality in both Europe and US is the same!

He did not give the weight or blade speed, I would like to up grade my Kubota ZD331 but am not sure as what to buy. The local Kubota dealer will not sell the ZD1511 due to regen problems.

Hi David, the IS 6200 weighs 1158 kg with empty tanks. As for blade speeds, we don't specify blade speeds as it is very subjective to other variables. Therefore it is not a spec you can compare 1-on-1.

I watched this video and went to my local Ferris dealer and wanted to order one. Told the dealer I wanted this exact mower especially liked the hydraulic deck lift as my knees are getting bad as I age and I mow 8 acres of land. Was told the hyd. lift wasn't available! So they can get that feature in Europe and not here where they're made????

I mowed with one yesterday, the 28 hp vanguard seems weak, I have a kubota with a kaw engine and it is faster with less power and has a lower center of gravity, I wanted a Ferris for the suspension but didn’t think it could handle the hills .

Alvin landscaping for 26 years and I have found Snapper to be the worst more when it comes to longevity and durability. These new is models do not work very well. Lots of electrical issues in these Ferris mowers are nothing but beefed-up Snapper Pro. This particular diesel mower has too many belts or what it's supposed to be meant to do. They'll stretch is too many holes is in too many belts on this mower. No Straight Shaft from the motor to the deck like Kubota. Ferris is selling themselves on that comfortable seat. I admit they have the most comfortable seat out there but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to durability and longevity

I had two different 5100s. Both were very unreliable to use. Something always failing. Super heavy machines. Only good thing about them is the ride, the weight made the suspension work. I replaced the last 5100 with a ISX3300. Ride is slightly rougher but just as efficient as far as acres per hour. Turning is much more efficient due to lighter weight. Also, one can buy two 3300s for the price of one 6200.

I am curious as to what your problems were? I have a 5100 I use around the farm. I have had to replace belts, one spindle and the A-Arms on the back due to defective design. Anything else I should be looking for?

@@DavidSmith-fr1uz Machine 1 was a 2012 I bought used with 420 hrs and had 1100 hrs when I sold. Machine 2 was a 2013 with 111hrs and replaced Machine 1. I mow commercially on established lawns. 1 had the flywheel plate stub just break while mowing. Both went through idler pulley bearings on the pump/PTO belt system on the rear like eating candy. Sometimes after 20 hrs of use sometimes 200. Each pulley has two bearings and usually one would go. If you catch it in time, you save the belts, otherwise replace both bearings and belts. Dealer couldnt figure out why they failed. Suggested I buy a new pulley with bearings installed, same problem. I finally would just replace the bearings every 150 hrs (if I made it that long) whether they needed it or not. Did have a spindle get loose on 2. Had over 2K hrs on 2 when I sold. Had several sets of rear tires fail, inside sidewall fails. A new 3300 replaced it and dont regret it a bit.

First time I have heard of a 4000. I guess it makes sense as I have an IS3000. Used residentially, 27hp Kohler, 60". Only about 500 hours. Great machine.

Justin Davis i modified the icd deck by removing the tightly curved baffle and welding in a straight replacement between left and center blade. Found out real quick that it was a mistake. It helped a little in really high grass but not much. It caused so much air to blowout the front of the deck that i and the mower were covered in debris. Had to end up putting it back to stock.

Awesome mowers. I use one in my business. Crazy tough, grips hills/slopes very well. But one things they do need to address is that even with 37hp+ that bloody deck still struggles in long grass. Its waaay to tightly baffled. If they opened up that front baffle to be more lile a Husqvarna/scag/deere then you literally would have the perfect mower. I beat mine daily from manicured to vacant lot slashing and its nevet given me a issue reliability wise. Please fix ICD baffles to more open design!
