    just wrote the exam and passed. i used this video to help, and other videos on this platform. i also did the practice exam by AWS. Don't memorize the questions, these are practice to enforce the concepts. Study the concepts, and understand the content. Once you understand the concepts, then any question you'll be able to answer. Some questions are straightforward, and some are conceptual to test your understanding of the concepts. Hope that help...

    I am a bit confused by the answer that was chosen for question #24. A customer is trying to patch host operating system of an EC2 instance. Based on the AWS shared responsibility model, who is responsible? Isn't the answer supposed to be AWS, since the question says host OS? Can someone explain?

    This is easily the most digestible set of practice questions I have seen. Your pacing is great, the questions test the CONCEPTS and not just rote memorization of the questions, and sitting with the questions and looking up things I didn't know really made me come away with it not just feeling like I learned something, but motivated to keep studying. Definitely checking out more of your videos. Thank you!

    @cloudvikings: I'm also learning for the SAA-C03 exam, besides using your paid questions set, I'm using also AWS Skill builder to improve my knowledge. In Skill builder i can find multiple courses a) Solutions Architect - Knowledge Badge Readiness Path (~55h! lessons) and b) Exam Prep Standard Course: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C03) (~4,5h lessons). However the first one seems to provide much more in-depth information and also provides a test exam with ~50 questions. Those questions are much more difficult, than the test exam in the prep course. Also I realized, that the questions in your test exams are pretty much on the same difficulty level like in b). My question is now, can I assume that the real exam questions will be also "that easy". I would appreciate a lot, if you can shed some light on the purpose of "Solutions Architect - Knowledge Badge Readiness Path" and if this is really the optimal way to prepare for exam ?

    Hi Mike. First of all, congrats for such a professional and effective way of teaching! Hats off! I have a few questions if you don't mind. 1) Is there a difference between the youtube video and the one you sell on your website? 2) Is there a way to practice the concepts in AWS platform? 3) Do you know of any AWS cloud glossary? Thank you!

  • @cloudvikings
    @cloudvikings2 ай бұрын

    Hi, thanks for the questions! 1) For the CCP course, the video lessons are the same as on the site, just the site has them through a course player which makes it easier to navigate and saves your progress. There's also some additional text based lessons which are just some extra tips and some of the links etc. The CCP course on the site is free through as well, just use the coupon code listed on the course page! 2) Of course, there's a variety of options. You could use your own personal AWS account, or some services offer sandbox training environments you can pay for. These can be a good value or very expensive depending on what want to practice and for how long. Generally, you'd get more experience setting everything up in your own account and likely be able to use the AWS free tier credits for most of your experimentation, but definitely review the AWS free tier details and AWS service pricing so you know what to expect for costs if using your own account to practice in. I am a partner with Skillable and they have some excellent guided AWS labs where you don't have to use your own AWS account and walk you through a variety of real-world AWS configuration scenarios - cloudvikings.io/course/aws-challenge-labs AWS also has some workshops you could go through in your own accounts (again, just be mindful of AWS service costs to use these) workshops.aws/ 3) A pretty good reference for general cloud computing terms and especially AWS services is AWS' own glossary - docs.aws.amazon.com/glossary/latest/reference/glos-chap.html

    Great, yeah reach out any time. Always happy to help! I have started an SAA course. It's early in it's journey and haven't had much spare time to lately, but slowly getting some lessons done for that. If you're interested in checking that out as well just message me through the course on my site and I'll enrol you as a beta tester. The lessons I have done so far are very complimentary to CCP, so another source of review. Curious about your current starting point with IT, cloud, AWS. What sparked the fire to learn AWS and cloud?

  • @thinkholisticwellness

    @@cloudvikings Hey Mike. Thanks again! I will spend most of the time on the CCP but can certainly look into the SAA and provide feedback. I have been in IT for more than 10 years sharing responsibilities as a test automation engineer, test manager, business analyst, and people leadership. Well, cloud, cybersecurity and AI, as you know are the focus of many orgs, so just going with the flow. My end goal is to focus on cloud security!

  • @cloudvikings
    @cloudvikings2 ай бұрын

    Yes, the CCP would be quite easy going back to it after the SAA. My thoughts here are: - Why you would want the CCP after the SAA other than to just collect another cert? You would typically wouldn't be learning anything new from the CCP exam scope. - The SAA may be to large of a scope for some people starting out with cloud computing. There's a ton learn if you're essentially starting from zero. Some may get overwhelmed or just give up due to the level of effort. For those just starting out, the CCP is a more attainable stepping stone and can help build a good foundation of knowledge to build on as they start to explore the SAA scope of things.

  • @VicMansaMusa
    @VicMansaMusa2 ай бұрын

    @@cloudvikings good points. Yes, getting the CCP after the SAA is purely for cert collection. I also see your point on SAA being too large for a beginner.
