What an inspirational video. We cycled up to Loch Aenaich a couple of weeks ago and are now planning he Sgor Gaoith route after seeing this video. What a shame you had to ruin the soundtrack with that idiotic unlistenable racket. I missed the commentary as a result. What's wrong with natural sounds and the crunch of wheels on gravel?

Awesome build, but does anybody else even notice that he's tightening all axles, pivots, shock mounts etc while the bike is in the air? Each and every one of those mounting points/pivots has an inherent amount of slop / tolerance, in the fit between the bolt and the hole. So the moment you start going downhill, each one of those axles and pivots and bolts is going to shift that slop in the opposite direction of when it was mounted... while in the air... Towards the opposite direction that they are now being loaded. Which is an amateur oversight for someone as pro as Scotty.
@ScottyLaughlandАй бұрын
Whilst I understand your point to a degree, this is also how every professional mechanic builds a bike. Note, I’d then always go for a first ride and then recheck and torque everything to again the recommend settings once it’s been in use.
