SGL Video was set up by myself some years ago now when a good friend gave me the idea of sharing some of my home video's both old and new on youtube in the hope it would entertain and give some enjoyment to people like myself who enjoy video photography and editing.
Why not subscribe to my channel and be one of the first to see any of my new video's up loaded onto youtube.

What a Beauty! Very smooth departure, love it thanks for sharing this beautiful video
Thanks for your very kind words glad you liked the video
Brilliant video Stephen fist class.
Thanks very much
Nice to see another video of the train running ‘tail first’. I took a similar clip at Gowerton.
Lovely to see Clan Line back and looking pristine. She has always been beautifully maintained and must be one of the most consistent and reliable steam locos of the past 40 years. A bit of a shame that, presumably for operational and timing reasons, her departure seemed mostly due to the Class 67 pushing than her pulling! But I suppose that's understandable under the circumstances of the modern railway. Thank you for committing so much of your day to filming it for our enjoyment.
Glad you liked the video and thank you for your very kind words.🚂
I caught it at chester on my channel, suprised how much whistle action i caught

A beautiful loco.
Great video of Bittern. I missed Bittern steaming and running. I’ve heard she’s going to be overhaul at some point. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Josh
I love seaworld and dolphins too
Like 👍beatiuful video, greetings 🚂👍👋
Awsome 😀
Absolute credit to everyone to get this loco back on the mainline
That departure was soooooo smooth; not a squeak of protesting metal, no wheel-slip, no barking exhaust; just pure power taking hold.
Hopefully it’s next overhaul will be fairly routine, after having major surgery at its previous overhaul.
awsome but when i arived its moved to the north shed it is i believe but was stil awsome to look her in real life though
Pulling some weight there.
Thank you stephen for the brilliant video regards kevin😊

Beautiful train🙂
Great shots! I managed to get this and a couple of other tours through Tilehurst
MICKEY MOUSE MODERN TRAIN OPERATION !!!! Notice how just as the steam loco tries to start, it moves forward a foot or two and then appears to "spring" backwards by a foot. Now why do you suppose that would happen ? The answer, because most likely the driver in the diesel loco at the rear had forgotten to release his "Loco only" brake. Indeed in BR days having a "Heavy Swinger" (the Class 47 in this case, when not actually assisting) on the rear of a train was BANNED for very serious SAFETY REASONS. If a train required two loco's they had to be coupled together at the front of the train. (except when banking up hills at limited speeds, & at the top the banker had to be removed). The reason is that in curves even at speed, a heavy vehicle on the rear, tries to stretch out the lighter vehicles in between. So pulling them inwards in curves. And despite the modern "canting" of track in curves, the danger of derailment is NOT completely removed. But with this modern "Mickey Mouse" Franchising nonsense, the BR Rule Book (written in 150 years of Blood) was thrown in the dustbin. Replaced with a "commercially acceptable" alternative written by totally unqualified muppetts. So because its cheaper to the "Greedy" Franchisee's an engine each end is the name of the game, because it isn't just steam specials that have locos each end !!!! Sooner or later there will be a nasty accident, and of course they'll simply jail the Driver(s) rather than admit they didn't know what they were doing when they allowed this daft & dangerous behaviour. Adding Insult to Injury we see at 8:04 a German "DB" (Deutsch Bundesbahn) or German State Railway company Loco Number 67007, earning money for the German Railways (every penny of that profit has to be paid for by the British TAX PAYER), and insultingly painted in Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee livery. Foreign State Railway organisations (which included the French & Dutch State Railways) should have been thrown out of Britain on the day BREXIT came into being, to prevent them creaming Britain to subsidise their own Nation !!! And you idiots are still paying VAT the European Union Tax !!!!!
wheres the chuff ?
Very good perfect steam engine train show look good
I Visited the museum in April this year from Australia.loved the North shed better with all the scale models. it took me 2 days to get out there.loved it.i will be back!,
I prefer her in apple green LNER livery and without those smoke deflectors
6o1o3 looking good as usual Tony Simpson thanks
Locked away in a shed in disgrace whe she belongs
Question: If Disneyland had a rainy night cavalcade when Frightfully Fun parade was canceled, do you think they would use the soundtrack from the 2010-2011 version of Welcome to Spookyville at Tokyo Disneyland.
Sorry cannot help with that.
Nice video Steve and nice to see the "getting there" etc aspect. Looks like someone's been treated to a gimble cam/gimble?
Hi Gordon thanks for the kind words about the video sorry to say I just videoed with my iPhone
@@stephenlaws7752 No need to apologise Steve. Why bother with a gimble and a camcorder, when as you say, an i phone produces the "steadycam" footage and apparent lossless optical zoom too, as showcased in your recent videos. 😁
Flying Scotsman? Say n'more.
Flying Scotsman always looks best in her apple green LNER livery 4472.
thats BR 60103 mate
I like the BR green but I don't like the smoke deflectors, although I realise they are authentic to the engine's last years in BR service.
Great video. Especially seen lots of steam and diesel locomotives inside the museum including Flying Scotsman of course. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes Josh
Hi Josh Glad you liked the video and thanks for your kind words all the best
