They took three years to deliver you the finger lime? 😳

I'm not too familiar with grafting. Why do some scions fail to graft?

In general, the number one cause of graft failure is the lack of contact between the scion and the cambium of the rootstock. The second is that the scion and rootstock are loosely contacted and move. The third is that the contact area between the graft and the rootstock and the scion dries. The scion wraps the graft tape along with the rootstock. Do not wrap the tape where the buds grow from the graft. The main premise of grafting is to do it with the same kind of companion.

@@montdorflfarm7356 Thank you for answering my question 😊 I have four grafted finger limes, bought from local nurseries back in August. Of the four, D'Emerald is the slowest to grow. I have no idea why, as they all have the same growing conditions.

Maybe they'd fare better with yuzu or dekapon rootstocks. What do you use?
I use Trifoliate(Karatachi) for rootstocks, because they have cold resistant, I think.
Hi. It's been quite a while since you last updated. Are the trees still doing well?
