    I have just purchased a 2010 laramie as my first truck and it has the check tire pressure light aswell. I was pretty confused as to what it could be, but the truck has brand new aftermarket rims and tires on it. Im willing to bet its the same issue you had.

    i have a 2010 grand cherokee hemi-just started having number 4 cylinder doing this-changed out plugs, changed out coil. same thing. i have less than 40,000 miles on my vehicle and it has been my most trusted vehicle. i havent done injector change. debating whether to do that or just take it to the shop and have them check it out. i will be disappointed if my engine has failed at 40k miles

    I had a 305 code. I changed the coil pack and spark plugs, didn’t work. Then I swapped injector 1 with injector 5, I gave them a very good cleaning as well. This way I know if the code follows the injector that’s the problem. If the code stays on cylinder 5 it’s most likely the cam shaft. Sometimes the simple things are overlooked and people start tearing stuff apart for no reason. It’s been 3 months or so and no more issues. Clean your injectors before doing any major work.

    Putting the drivers side valve cover gasket back on without popping the gasket loose is a nightmare. Took me 4 hrs

  • @johnsn10
    @johnsn1023 күн бұрын

    You can get the valve cover out without removing all that stuff. Once it’s loose take all the screws out of the valve cover pop it off from where it’s sitting and slide the back down and you can lift the front side and wedge it out

    Raybucks, sells molded to fit rockers that fit perfect cab corners too. Then blast the fluid film inside all the holes made into the rockets and inner rockets. Fun fun

    My 2015 ram 1500 hemi has around 700,000km on the bottom end. My compression readings are still around the same as yours. Ive swapped the cam, springs, valves, and valve seals. Head gasket also... The bottom end and 8 speed transmission have been solid. If they could figure out the electrical issues and the lifter failure issues, these engines would be (in my opinion) flawless.

    I agree with everything you've said and now it's 2024. The proximity sensors are way to sensitive for most garages. For me the level 1 charger was just fine.

    Sounds like exactly what I’m going through with my 2012 Ram Laramie 5.7 Hemi. I did same as you, plugs, then coil pack. Getting ready to replace the injector but wondering if I shouldn’t just go straight to the PCM. Thank you for the detailed video. However my BIGGEST surprise of the video was seeing a familiar face from a Model Railroad channel I’ve been watching! 😉

    Tighten the nut on the valve, bet it won't leak after that.

  • @user-qx3yy3od9e
    @user-qx3yy3od9eАй бұрын

    Yes! Good tip! It's called a "packing nut" which is tapered so the seal tightens more to the shaft as you tighten the nut. If it's as tight as it goes and still leaks, it needs a new seal or simply replace the valve. If you have to loosen the packing nut just to turn the valve and it leaks as soon as you loosen the nut, the packing is shot. When new, the nut should be just tight enough to allow valve to turn while keeping the shaft from leaking, but that's all - some crank it tight thinking it's supposed to be tight which can prematurely wear out the seal or make the valve difficult to turn. Would be wise to have the correct size open-end wrench handy to snug that nut if it starts to leak like that. But if you tighten the nut too much and cannot close the valve quickly enough, you might have a good old fashion scramble to... loosen nut... leak, leak, leak... "OW!"... close valve... leak, leak, leak... "OW!"... tighten nut. He made me LOL, "Ow!" I've worked on cars over 40 years and that's the exact luck I have... goes completely differently than I pictured in my mind! ALSO!... wear "LAB GOGGLES and/or FACE SHIELD!"... you DO NOT want refrigerant in your eyes!! Thanks!
