Herzog has been a transformative force within the rail industry for over five decades, working and collaborating with key partners, rising to any challenge, and delivering industry-changing products and services. It all began in 1969, when Bill Herzog started an asphalt paving company in St. Joseph, Missouri. Still true to its roots as a leading highway asphalt paving contractor, Herzog has grown to be a national provider of innovative and technology-based, turnkey rail services and solutions. Through five rail-focused companies, Herzog is the only full-service provider to the rail industry in North America that builds, operates, and maintains some of the largest passenger rail transit systems and freight networks across the U.S.

2 words: Thank you
Wonderful story, great man.
Very informational
Dear @HerzogCompanies , long time ago in 2002 for the NASCAR Busch Series when you guys ran the team in Xfinity at the time, you guys hired a driver named Andy Houston as you signed him to a 2 year deal to drive the no.92 Excedrin Chevy, but replaced him with Todd Bodine after Las Vegas due to "performance issues" (which I find to be a stupid reason) however I believe it's stupid, the fact your founders replace andy with todd means you guys are hiding something from us andy houston fans because Andy was 11th in points before you guys let him go, and had a 2 year to drive for you guys in 2002 and 2003,I would like a response from someone that worked on your NASCAR program, please and thank you. Sincerely MadBlade_2

Where at?
This is an amazing documentary and a critical story of American motorsports. Thank you for sharing
very cool
This is really innovative and much needed across the US as our urban rail infrastructure develops. Where is it being used or tested right now?
Hi @CityPete! Thanks for checking out RailSentry. We are currently conducting long-term testing on an active railroad in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The first series of production deployments will begin, also in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, in Q2 of 2024.
Hopefully HERZOG will contact MASS COASTAL RAILWAYS TO USE A RECENTLY RECEIVED FRAP GRANTS ($140'000) TO REBUILD A NEW CUSTOMERS RAIL SPURS TO SHIP AND RECEIVED BY RAILCARS OF ROAD SALTS AND USE "HERZOG CONVEYOR TRAINS" TO SPEED UP OF OFF LOADING ROAD SALTS DIRECTLY INTO DUMPTRUCKS AND A FUN NEW HERZOG BUSSINESS OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP SUPPORT HERZOG THROUGHT PERHAPYOUR SLOWER WINTER /FALL /SPRING SEASONS😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Our gang can unload 2 to 1 against this ! We can unload a 50 pocket in that stated time which overstated ! We observed and participated in a demo of this CONTRACTED outfit . Slow set up and a slow grueling unloading process , not impressed .
How many ATCs does Herzog have on the fleet? Looks like a great innovation!
Lol the first black guy that popped up was my dadddddd
That’s awesome 👏🏾 I been watching a lot of videos and this is the first video I have seen a representative of what I look like demographically visualization matters🤗🫶🏾

Those washout, holy smokes!
I'd like to see how they load the train
That's what I'd like to know. Always bothered me.
Ok very good 👍
theres a herzog train at napton mo siding union pacific
Nice footage 👍
They cut down the trees along our set of tracks and now it looks ugly Shame on you!
wouldn't trees too close to the tracks be a fire hazard?
@@KnightRaymund I suppose but these trees were a good 30-40-50 feet from the tracks. They helped block out noise and air pollution for the buildings nearby. Along with that there are other trees by the tracks that are even closer to them that seem to be considered "safe". It's just unfortunate because these trees were really pretty and didn't deserve or should have been torn down.
This thing can move an entire rail train? Did i hear that right? Like a 40 car set?
Thanks for your inquiry, Cubs Fan22! To answer your question - not quite. The Rail Unloading Machine (RUM) is a road-to-rail vehicle that drives to a pre-determined crossing location to get on the rail. Once mounted atop the track on its hi-rail wheels, it attaches to the end of a rail train consist. The locomotive is what powers the entire consist pulling it along the ROW. The RUM then functions as a hands-free unloader. Via the machine's crane, the RUM operator grabs sticks of CWR out of the rail train and guides it through the machine for final placement on the ground next to the track.
@@HerzogCompanies that makes 10x more sense. The more i thought about it the more i figured it had to be pulled by a locomotive. Pretty cool though.
I saw the Rail Train train today. I would have recorded a video, but the sun had already set making it too dark for video recording.
Darn it! We would have loved to see one of our rail trains in action. Thanks for the message, Andrew. Keep an eye out for any of our other equipment in the field. Visit us at www.herzog.com for more info!
may you build a railway locomotive like a AC6400CW
Thanks for your comment. However, Herzog does not build railway locomotives. We do build specialized maintenance-of-way equipment such as the Rail Unloading Machine (RUM). Check out our equipment at www.herzog.com
@@HerzogCompanies ik you made a gondola with HERZOG writing?
@@TeimonKauppa739 Yes, all of our railcars (rapid discharge cars , side dumps, gondolas, flat cars, and GPS & solar ballast cars) are stenciled with the Herzog name.
