He hasn't written a new comedy song in a long time. He has moved away from it. He is wary that he is now coming from a very privileged position so it's harder to poke fun at things without looking like a bit of a dick. He wants to put more positive stuff into the world. His new stuff is great too, just in a different way. His music still contains quite a bit of irony, clever wordplay and a humorous line here and there just to remind you it's him, and he's been doing more writing and acting for TV etc.
