Thank you SO MUCH !!! this is so incredibly helpful as I'm trying to figure out how to open an online shop and not accidentally break any laws. lol
I so resonate with your story. I quit my career as a stock broker to be a writer. Guess who love to be a writer? My inner child 😅 and I feel so happy with my life ❤
I just stumbled across your channel tonight and I really enjoyed this video. Keep it up, you are doing so well!
This is great, thank you for sharing! What brush did you use for the final line work?
Could I get a link to the products? I love that you print everything out
Thank you so much for sharing this very detailed guide!!
Can I use a different drawing app?
I adore the swatch sheet! I think it'd be cute to have meranimals for summer. :3
How did you get your art name as your P.O. Box? Did you need a dba or something around there? 👀
Hey Jen! I love Calico Critters and personally collect them they are so adorable ❤ BTW I love your content and art style
Amazing works! What printers and cutting machines do you use?
What are those brown paper bag envelope called? They are bubble wrap lined on the inside? I always find it difficult to find them in my area. Do they have a particular name for the envelope?
🖍️ I would be a pineapple. They just have a fun color combination 😊
Great presentation on this! I’m getting ready to open my shop and this was awesome, thank you!
HI small artist here, I have a question, is in the long term worth buying a cricut and make our own stickers and prints? Rather than using suppliers?
Thank you for not being an “Coloring book using AI” tutorial.
🖍️ I would be an avocado because they are the most delicious ❤
THANK YOU! I was having such a hard time getting my cricut to cut after putting the lamination on! I see now that it needs to be smaller than the black box! thank you!!!
Question!!! I am trying to get a gift for my art friend but she doesn’t have a Apple Pencil she has an iPad but she is a finger artist. So I am kinda struggling to get her something that will be good for her.
Amazing I love how your website gives a friendly professional vibe and it is very well organized, clear and easy to navigate
🖍️ I think I would be a peach because it is my favorite fruit! Thank you for featuring my question!!
Can you share a more detailed video for your notion?? I just found it and I am trying to figure out how to better use it with my art and my business
I have followed you on instagram for a while and I love your stuff! I am so inspired by you! Thank you for sharing and being an inspiration!

Hi! We sent you an email! Looking forward to hearing from you! 💜🥰
this coloring page and book eats ❤
Hi Jen, Thanks for sharing your Q&A's on your small business tips. I just recently started watching your KZread videos and they have been inspiring me to start my own art business. I bought your Notion Small Business template on your shop and am excited to start using it for when I plan to start my business. I have yet to buy some other art you have made, but I am undecided on which item I want to get yet! I'd like to buy more clothing or a shirt if you were willing to make more designs! As for your question on the fruits, I think I would be a mango, as I just love mangoes and they are my favorite fruit! 🥭 Also, I loved this colouring video as you used your own colouring book and it showcases how nice the books are! I love the way you used the markers and how you highlighted and used coloured pencils at the end to add some flare! It really shows your style as an artist 🎨. Maybe this will give me the next idea from what to buy from your shop as it has inspired me to colour!
Oh that's so great! I love Notion and I continue to use it practically everyday to run my business so I hope you find it just as useful! I wish you the best of luck on your small business journey 😊 Also, being a mango would be a great fruit to be 🥭🥰
God blessed you with a beautiful mind! Your imagination is beautiful 🎉
Thank you so much!
Great video. 🎉
I just pit up my site. Its only been a week since ive started adding things to it, not even actually. Ive got 3 products up so far and posting something everyday im hoping will generate some steam. Its just buttons and stickers right now and i still need some equipment to actually make stuff but im excited and hopefully i can do what i want and generate enough income to live
I'm so proud of you! That's so awesome! Getting started can be nerve racking but keep showing up and doing what you're doing and hopefully things will begin to pick up for you 😊🪻
Thanks for the pep talk! I'm thinking of a lot of things and making some research plans so I can at least get the business license and business bank account stuff set up first.:)
Yes! Take baby steps and work your way through it! You got this 😊🌷
@@fructusillustrations That's the plan! I made some test stickers at home about a week ago and am considering getting a Cricut. I'm thinking I'll produce at home to start and maybe move to using a print service if things ramp up. Really appreciate you and other small business owners sharing info about the process and about not talking yourself out of getting started.
🖍️ i think i would be a strawberry 🍓 thank you for the tips!!🥰
I have been waiting myself. Last month I stopped waiting. I invested in what I want to do. I bought equipment and a website with less than 150 followers across instagram and Facebook. I basically took a giant leap off a huge cliff. It is exciting.
That's fantastic! Congrats on following your passion and I hope that it works out in all the best ways! 🌷
Marvelous job
Amazing job
Amazing illustration you've made
Nice coloring on your own coloring book
Thank you 🤗
@@fructusillustrations you're welcome
🖍i like to think i'm like apples bc they're very hard and I'm hard-headed lol, but they're also used in a variety of ways and are great in the fall! I love fall and I like to think I know how to do a lot of things and/or do things in a lot of different ways :)
Omg yes! Haha I was thinking I would also be more like an apple 🍎🍏 I can be stubborn at times too but they really are so great in the fall and can be used in so many ways. And if I were an apple, I'd hope to become a tasty apple pie!
Thank you so much this was so so helpful ❤
🖍 thanks for sharing your process! The insight into a self run art business is super helpful. To answer your question, It would be cool to be a. Strawberry since it's a summer fruit, and it's light and sweet!
Aww yeah! I'd imagine it would be really fun to be a sweet strawberry 🍓 enjoying the summer 😎
i love your paletes
This is fascinating, thank you for sharing all this experience ☺☺
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve been in the same path. Also the pandemic was my pivot point because of not being able to find a job. And giving my art more time. Then trying to find a way of living that doesn’t require me too make too much so to be able to create more and work on my art business more. That’s how I ended in North Carolina. I’m now making most of my income from tattooing, which is at least art related. But still painting, having my Etsy shop, and applying to art shows
I'm glad to hear that you have found a way to pursue your art passions! The pandemic really gave us all time to think about what we're doing and what's next. It was an interesting time but I hope things are working out great for you and that you are happy doing what you love ❤️🥰
This is literally invaluable. The way you've organised everything pleases my brain.
🖍️ I would probably be a mango…love mangoes, they come in all shapes and sizes, all colors, but are extremely versatile. You can make jam, jelly, preserves, eat them raw, make fruit juice, and their leaves are great for tea (drink it often). Hopefully, I’m versatile or flexible like mangos! Beautiful work and story. I’m still trying to find my way, but slowly learning and growing. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤❤
Omg I didn't realize there were so many ways to enjoy mangoes! They really are so versatile 🥭 Definitely want to aspire to be like a mango too :)
@@fructusillustrations 😂😂🤣🤣💕💕💕
🖍️ I would be grapes because they’re so sweet and yummy. I really enjoyed the video
Nice! Grapes is a great choice hehe you would have all your friends with you too! 🍇
Hi Jen! Love these Q and A's. You've inspired me as I begin the process of starting my own small art business in my late 20s, and your videos are so incredibly helpful! Just got my Ecotank 2850 today and I'm stoked to see my art in print form. Thank you for your insight and wisdom and for sharing your lovely art with us <3
I'm so happy to hear that! That's so awesome 👏 It really fills my heart with joy to hear that I've been able to inspire you 🥰 good luck friend, I wish you the absolute best on your journey!
Dang I'm rlly early 😅
I've never heard of a dot clicker before but that's such a brilliant tip! I literally made dot points as I watched. It's so interesting to see your process. I love editing videos, I just get really anxious filming.
Filming was something I was super anxious about too at the start but it honestly gets so much easier the more you do it ❤️
@@fructusillustrations I've just got to practice but I've been filming B-roll clips again so I'm excited to play around. I love the editing, just the filming makes me nervous haha. Knowing it'll get easier does help, thank you :3
